Hello, i'm testing the macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 (17B25c) and the Indesign CC 2018 Pre-release (13.0.122) and nothing went wrong, everything working fine. No Cursor Bug.
- Open template
- import pictures
- import many pictures
- do interactive docs
- import morethan 40 pictures
...And never had the cursor bug at this moment

Gary had a good question which so far has gone completely ignored by adobe: https://indesign.uservoice.com/users/677150740-gary.
Namely: Are we going to get our monthly payments refunded during the time that Indesign (which is 99% of why I pay for CC) is basically unusable?
I second that question and demand a refund until this issue has been resolved!

As long as you keep Indesign in foreground it seems OK - cursors remain functional. Switching between apps triggers the error for me.

Hello, same for me with the last CC 2017 version. Trying the last version of Indesign CC 2018 to see if the problem stay the same.

Best work around to date after trying Indesign CC2018 beta fail, Apple Beta update 10.13.1 fail.
Ive removed the ToolhintsBundle this can be found in the Application Adobe Indesign CC 2017 folder - Resources/CEP/extensions/ToolhintsBundle copy to your desktop, and delete the original. Open Indesign again it will try to show the flashing cursor but wont, only if you hover over a corner point. Adobe will release 2018 in a couple of weeks which should resolve -

please notify me of the fix too. Can't work properly this way. One workaround is to close the app and start again but that only last until you click something.

The problem seems intermittent; mostly I can see it, but not always. If I leave InDesign running for a long time (overnight, eg) it seems to be worse. It doesn't make the product completely unusable, but it doesn't make life easy!

Same issue with me. I found that launching ID once, then quitting and launching again remedies the problem -- for me at least.

There are many threads on this topic. I have the same problem. I found that after the 1st launch of ID, just quit and restart the app. It usually fixes the cursor issue.
