  1. InDesign 20.4 Windows 11 Bug. UXP Plugin Panel and Dialog have incorrect behavior of html SELECT tag

InDesign 20.4 Windows 11: After updating from version 20.3.1 to 20.4 UXP, the plugin, which worked fine in the previous version, now has problems with displaying dialogs and panels, namely:
all SELECT tags on a panel are stopped responding to modification.
Version 20.3.1 does not exhibit these problems; dialogs and panels display SELECT tags correctly and respond to user modifications.
In version 20.4, SELECT tags respond only by changing the border color to blue; the list is not displayed at all. It is impossible to change the selected list item. In the dialog, this behavior is observed in all elements.…

  3. exporting to pdf crashes ID

I think my company just updated our licences and suddenly ID crashes when trying to export to pdf. I tried saving as a new file and exporting, it worked a couple of times, but at no point would it export over an existing (closed) pdf.

Added to the above, my keyboard suddenly decided not to respond. I put in new batteries, but it did not work until I did a restart.

I have tested exporting from indd, idml, both did not work. I'm re exporting as I fix errors I see in the pdf that were missed in ID.

  4. InDesign 2025 Crashing Constantly

Indesign 2025 has been crashing consistently since I updated it. The main trigger seems to be when you Option-drag any element. Text, image, shape. It immediately crashes. Any designer knows option-drag is a standard move for design work. This is very problematic. I have restarted, reinstalled, updated OS but still the same thing happens. Sometimes it now crashes when you PDF anything. Update has some serious glitches. Needs fixing asap.

  12. CMYK Black is shifting to gray upon export after updating InDesign 19.5.2

I'm working on some files that have tone on tone colors, and last night when I exported my PDF everything was fine. Today I updated my software to version 19.5.2 and suddenly my black is shifting to gray upon export. I've checked output, removed everything from the surrounding artboard, removed all RGB colors from the swatches. When I export PNG everything is as it should be, so this is solely a PDF export issue. All other colors seem to be normal as well, only Black is shifting.

  13. Constantly crashes

InDesign (20.1) is laggy and constantly crashes at the slightest thing.
    Move a box - crashes
    Edit some text - crashes
    Open two documents - crashes

    It's absolutely shocking!

  14. Crashing on Windows 11 when putting laptop into Tablet Mode

When InDesign is open with the laptop in desktop mode it works fine. As I have a 2 in 1, I put it into tablet mode but this leads to InDesign to crash, this works vice versa if you boot it up in tablet mode and go to desktop mode.. This is really easy to replicate and all that is required is a 2in1 laptop on Windows 11.

    1. Open InDesign
    2. Flip the Screen over to force laptop into tablet mode
    3. Crash box appears

  16. not opening files

Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server - Version 20 (beta), running on Windows 11

Steps to reproduce the issues - In Windows file explorer, I double click on an .indd file

Expected result - InDesign would then open the file

Actual result - InDesign opens, but will not open the file. The only ways I can open an .indd file in InDesign is by using the Open command or by dragging and dropping an .indd file into it.

  17. InDesign crashes when trying to cut, and/or copy, a table from the paragraph level

Different versions of InDesign have this problem including 2023, 2024, and 2025 - on Mac Monteray.

If I attempt to highlight tables from the paragraph level and copy or cut, either with menus or key commands, InDesign will either immediately crash, or beach ball a bit and then crash.

Upon reopening InDesign, the menus will not appear. I have to use the keyboard commands to quit InDesign again. Upon reopening, it will work properly again... that is unless I attempt to copy or cut another table.

Please fix! I'm constantly working with complicated tables and the only way to get…

  18. ID 20.0.1 locks up when resizing a table cell, either expanding the column or expanding the row width downward.

    Mac Sonoma, M2 silicon.

I have an academic text chapter with numerous tables; Hebrew is scattered through the text, and some tables have Hebrew columns. Many times working on the file, the slightest change to resize a table cell, or resize a column, or who knows what, ID will go into rainbow wheel of death mode and must be killed.

I just now found a repeatable lockup. A table had no header row, but crosses pages, so I created a header row to be present on each page for that table.

Copying the single line text from a cell into…

  19. Indesign 20.0.01 freezes when updating fonts

It happens erratically, however, when Indesign needs to update or scan fonts, it freezes -- even if the document uses fonts that are open and available. Only work around is to click on any other app and then click back on Indesign document. This happens on just about any type of Indesign file (blank pages, or pages with lots of texts and font usage).
