1. Paragraph border and shading error with anchored objects

   when anchored objects (such as column Text or line numbers) are anchored in a Text using the options "Paragraph border" and "paragraph Shading" the borders and Shades will "randomly" disappear, or new border-lines will appear (when more then one paragraphs are merged, the lines always appear between the different styles, even though they work fine again when the object is de-anchored). Sometimes the appearance doesn't change when an object is anchored, but when the anchored object is edited (for example, when the size of the anchored object is changed).

   This is reproducable on my Windows 10, using InDesign 15.1.4.
   Steps:
   - create a new document
   - create a paragraph styles using paragraph borders/ paragraph shading
   - create 1 or 2 more styles, based on the previously defined style
   - create an object-style using "benutzerdefiert" (individual?) - positioning
   - anchor 2 or 3 objects in the shaded text/ the text with borders

   The problem also sometimes appears when an object is anchored in a text using Paragraph border/ shading, when text anywhere else in the same story is edited.

   This issue continues to be seen in a PDF, which makes it really hard to have a stable document using this paragraph style options.

4. Shift + Tab / Ctrl + Shift + Tab doesn't work properly with reordered Windows

   Shift + Tab usually switches to the next open window/project. with Ctrl is switches to previous window.
   That works so far.

   It doesn't work anymore though, as soon as you rearrange the order of the windows.

   Say you have project A, Project B, Project C open, but you move the window from Project C between A and B

   so now its: A, C, B

   if I now want to switch from C to B I would click Shift + Tab. But instead to the obvious next Tab "project B" it switches STILL to A.

   So Indesign constantly remembers the original order, no matter how you sort the tabs, which is kinda stupid. I think this should be fixed.

   For instance this works as it should in Illustrator already.
   Photoshop has the same Problem as Indesign.

5. deleting two empty paragraphs places a blank line in next paragraph

6. Urdu fonts not working in InDesign 2021

   Tried various Urdu fonts in InDesign and only one seemed to work fine (Jameel Noori Nastaleeq). On others attempted, the glyphs were all over the place and it looked like some baseline shift might be required on some characters. In others something called 'missing glyph protection' kicked in and all the characters looked like they were piled on top of each other.

   The same fonts worked fine in MS Word (365) so I prepared two PDF files showing the same text in 5 different URDU fonts - one prepared from Word and the other from InDesign to illustrate the difference.

   I already had the MENA version of InDesign and with the help of Adobe Support I was able to install the Urdu Hunspell dictionary files. However, neither of these things helped. Adobe Support informed me it was a bug that should be reported.

   Hopefully it might be resolved soon?

7. nested style does not appear

   When creating a new Style using the Nested Styles dropdown, the new style does not appear in the Styles Panel. I need to remove a number of unused styles created using the Nested Styles dropdown method, but since they don't show up in the Styles Panel, there is no way to remove them.

9. Align to grid

   When you have a text box with multiple columns and paragraphs are set to align to grid + Align first line of text only, if text from one paragraph flows to the next column, that 'first' line of text will NOT align to the grid as it is not the first line in the paragraph. I can't think of any situation where this is an optimal outcome.

10. Remove color failed

    Hi,

    I'm facing a new issue.

    Version : InDesign Server CC 2021
    Language : VBScript

    Steps to reproducre :
    - Create a new color
    - Try to remove it
    -> Error : Can't remove this color

    Works on InDesign Server CC 2020

12. problem with optical margin alignment and world-ready paragraph composer

    1. This happens in multiple versions of InDesign. I've reproduced it in ID CS 6 (8.1.0.420), ID CC 2019 (14.0.3.433), ID 2021 (16.4.0.55), and ID 2022 (17.0.0.68).

    2. Steps to reproduce:
       (1) Open InDesign
       (2) Create a new empty document
       (3) Create a text frame that is 100 mm by 100 mm
       (4) Place Text4.txt
       (5) Go Type > Story > check Optical Margin Alignment

    3. Expected result:
       The left margin should be somewhat ragged because the * character needs to be shifted left to make the margin appear straight. The right margin should be completely even because each line ends with the same word.

    4. Actual result:
       The left margin is correctly ragged. The right margin is ragged instead of being even.

    5. Text4.jpg shows the result with the ragged right margin.

    6. Notes:
       (1) This bug occurs with the World-Ready Paragraph Composer. It does not occur with the Adobe Paragraph Composer. Switching the composer produces the expected results.
       (2) This bug is related to soft hyphens (0xAD). If these are removed from the data then the expected results are produced.

    It looks like a "break column" special character is created above and below the text when I span it across a 2 column frame. Or a text column is "skipped."
    This is happening on flowing text, on primary text frames. The text was initially imported from a Word document (without styling).

    This "bug" doesn't happens on on other text frames where the text was not imported.

    I am trying to upload the INDD packaged rar file but the platform is saying that that type of file is not supported... Kindly text the screenshot.

16. frequent, dozens of indesign hangs within seconds !!!!! ridiculous

    indesign cc 2021 16.2.1 Mac Catalina 10.15.7
    INDESIGN stops responding, freezes, stalls, spinning pinwheel, have to force quit frequently

    simply trying to go from one page to another in this instance. happens multiple times a day every day for no consistent reason.

18. Using Text Wrap around objects causes InDesign to crash!

    When I apply a text wrap but only around an object, the program crashes and closes. The other text wrapping tools work fine.

    I noticed a blue cercle on the icon of text wrap around an object (see the screenshot joined). I'm not sure this is normal... maybe it would help you solve the problem...

    When I click on this tool, a windows opens (see second screenshot) and then Indesign crashes and closes.

    You can note that I am using the latest version of Indesign (16.4).

20. CC dropping non-adobe fonts overnight and having to un-install and re-install everyday

    Since the last update (3/9/21) CC drops non-adobe (Avenir) fonts from Indesign overnight. Every morning I'm having to un-install and re-install the fonts as even though they are installed Indesign can't see them. Why is this? It's most annoying as it's our corporate font and having to do this every day wastes time.
