  1. "Share for review" somehow linked to old file

    Had an older file that was Shared for Review and used it as a template. Saved the file under a different name, another user made some changes to the file, and this other user then Shared for Review. But the Share for Review under the new file says "You cannot access comments because another user has an active review for this document". But if i open the review under the newer file it takes me to the old file. Neither of us can see the comments under REVIEW in InDesign. We can see the comments if we go to the…

  2. Type tool still deselects itself InDD 15.0.1

    The bug has been already reported, it's been claimed to be fixed in 14.0.1, but actually still persists and never was corrected.

    Typing "T" just selects the type tool very briefly, then changes back to the previous tool. Clicking inside a text frame has the same result, even if you get to select some part of the text, it just changes back tot he previous tool in most of the cases. The only way to get it work, is to select the tool in the sidebar, however even there it takes several seconds to become active.

    The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2022(v17.0.0.96). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

  3. bookmarks for TOC are not correctly ordered in bookmarks panel

    When I generate a TOC, some sections of the bookmarks that are created are nested within one another when they should be at the same level. The TOC styles in the screenshot show the proper hierarchy, but the bookmark folders are not correct. What is causing this. Also, clicking on the bookmarks does NOT launch the destination. I have to manually choose the menu items "Go to..."

  4. Table borders, strokes, artifacted in InDesign problem

    InDesign ver. 16.1 (2021): Table borders and strokes created on a separate layer and artifacted in InDesign are not tagged as artifacts when converted to PDF.
    Close to a hundred "Path Object" errors flagged by the PAC 3 Accessibility Checker which we are required to use. The problem is none of these borders and strokes can be accessed in Acrobat with the Reading Order tool and therefore cannot be marqueed as artifacts. They are simply “not available” in Acrobat, yet PAC 3 flags them as “Path Object Not Tagged” errors.

  6. tagged annotations - failed!

    Indesign 15.1.3

    Right now InDesign is USELESS for creating accessible pdfs, and they are the one thing I MUST create these days! It's the same every time, however you tag objects, artefacts etc they come up as tagged annotations failed. This means that the document CAN'T BE PUBLISHED. InDesign is a useless waste of money. It is rubbish in this day and age.

    This needs fixing! The world wants accessible documents now!

  7. Export Jpeg to nas, finder crash

    I have a MacbookPro under macOs BigSur version 11.4 with an Apple M1 chip, the version of Indesign is 16.3.2, when I export one of my files either locally or on the network nas, in the JPEG format to the NAS and I want to open the Finder to see if the file is saved, as soon as I click on it without opening it, the Finder no longer responds and the same for Indesign, which forces me to close Indesign so that the Finder will work again, is there a compatibility problem since there is still no version of…

  8. Exporting to ePub (reflowable) when document has endnotes containing hyperlinks causes InDesign to hang

    Version of Adobe InDesign: 15.1.2 / macOS 10.15.6

    Steps to reproduce the issues: When exporting a document with endnotes containing hyperlinks to ePub (reflowable), InDesign hangs and needs to be force quit. Have tested removing all hyperlinks to tests, and document exports correctly. Have tested putting hyperlinks outside of endnotes and document exports correctly. The bug is specific to hyperlinks which are part of the endnote text.

    Expected result: Successful export with endnotes reciprocally linked to text, and hyperlinks in endnote text active to respective URLs.

    Actual result: InDesign hangs and needs to be force quit.

  9. auto page numbering does not work with auto-size text box

    The auto-sizing text box should resize depending on number and not the 'marker character'
    I'm pretty sure it used to work that way.

  10. Workfront Integration

    I'm having an impossible time exporting PDFs from InDesign and uploading directly to Workfront using the Adobe Workfront Plug-in. No matter what settings I use, when I export directly to WF, the PDF is corrupt (images/text drops out, text frames duplicate on top of each other, etc.)...but when I export a PDF to a local folder, then upload that existing PDF using the WF Plug-in, the PDF is fine.   11. Bug: Cross-reference dialog, filter doesn't work

    Latest ID 16.4, Windows 10
    This bug is old, at least since the cross-ref dialog has been redesigned.
    If you select a style on the left it would show you all text parts with that style on the right (see attached images).
    Problem Nr. 1: that list on the right side is not alphabetically sorted and there is no way to get it sorted.
    Problem Nr. 2: if you want to find a specific entry amongst the many you see you can either scroll through all of them or use the filter box, which doesn't work as expected. As you…

    Image mislocation (Myanmar, Khmer, Lao, Thai)

    In Myanmar (Burmese) Unicode, there is an error where the image overlaps the text.
    In the example, the red box should not overlap the text.
    For reference, Khmer, Lao, and Thai have the same problem.

  13. Previous version’s book files not saving

    Using InDesign 2022 Prerelease (17.0.0.96).

    When I opened my Book file, created with the current released version (16.4.0.54), in this new version, it wouldn't let me hit ⌘S to save.

    It keeps prompting me to save the file anew, as though it had just converted it fresh or created the Book.

    The world is not going to stop revolving around its axis over this one, but it was disconcerting and annoying.

  14. broken links from placed .docx file

    When I place a .docx file into InDesign, any link that contains an anchor tag (like this-- .pdf#page=543) is removed. This happens even when I check to "Preserve Styles and Formatting..." from the import options popup.

    Not only that, the linked text still shows hyperlink formatting, but when I highlight it to recreate the link, the "create new hyperlink" button in the hyperlink panel remains grayed out (removing the hyperlink style has no effect on this--I have to delete and then retype the text before it can be linked).

  17. Adobe InDesign Server 2021 has stopped working

    With some documents to be (automatically) processed by Indesign Server, InDesign Server stops working - and we get the Windows message "Adobe InDesign Server 2021 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program".

    As after a while our automatic system is picking up the same (possibly questionable) document again, we end up with a system where all InDesign Server instances are hanging, and no further processing happens (until a human being goes to the server and clicks the messages away).

  19. Object states button disappears after click

    In a multi-state object, the button that activates the MSO disappears after being clicked. No where in the settings have I told it to disappear after being clicked.

    Version: I'm running InDesign 16.3.2 (though I downgraded to 16.2 and am still having the problem)
    Steps to reproduce issue:
    I created the MSO using buttons/forms and the object states panel. Close button should revert back to original state (star).
    Expected Result: Button should reappear.
    Actual Result: Button is gone after click.

  20. subscription status.

    I get the following message at random times when launching InDesign - I do not have issues when launching other Adobe Products and I can have PS open and launch ID and still get this issue so I have to believe that this is a issue with ID.
