QR Code Vcards - iPhone read problem
I created a QR Code for a VCard: Andriod smartphones can read it and add to the contacts, whereas the iPhone standard camera can't read them.
Are there more hidden items to add for making it work?
(If it were to be a discriminating factor, the problem was found on Italian iPhones)7 votes -
spell check is changing the language to Catalan
Hi there! I've worked in Indesign for the last 20 years and recently there is a bug in the spell-check feature. Every time I run that feature, it starts out in English and then abruptly changes to Catalan which finds every single word to be wrong. I've changed it in my preferences and even restarted my computer.

Fit spread in window view only works 10% of the time. Please fix issue. I just updated InDesign to 17.4 and no fix.

"Convert URLs to Hyperlinks..." feature does not work with URLs containing accented characters.
"Convert URLs to Hyperlinks..." feature in the Hyperlinks pannel does not work with URLs containing accented characters. The GREP request for detecting URLs should be updated in future versions of inDesign.

InDesign window defaults fullscreen after escaping presentation mode
When entering presentation mode (shift+w), and then escape, InDesign windows becomes fullscreen.
When I come out of presentation view the window size gets forgotten and automatically becomes the size of my entire screen (very annoying to keep having to resize the window all the time, completely disrupts my work flow) It even cuts off the bottom tool bar, which I use a lot.
I have an M1 Macbook, Indeisgn 17.4
I have previously posted this and told that the issue was fixed. I followed all instructions and the issue is still there.

'Find / Replace' window does not appear.
When I press the 'find/replace' menu, the find window does not appear.
What should I do in this case?

custom dictionary
We had spent a lot of money creating user dictionaries for Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu many years back. The dictionaries that worked with CC 2014 are not working now. I have tried many times and my complaints get closed. I have even given ideas of how to solve the problem, but no response. I

Indesign 2022 menus not working - renders the software ABSOLUTELY UNUSABLE!!!
Adobe Indesign 17.3 (also happened in 17.4).
MacBook Pro (M1 2021). macOS Monterey v12.4Dropdown menus don't work. If you click, nothing happens, if you double-click the menu appears but, no sub-menus are available. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, tried 17.3 and 17.4, quit, restarted - all to no avail.
Indesign is unsuable with this bug, this requires Adobe's full attention!!!

Error converting when linking Excel data with a formula returning a blank cell (i.e. "")
InDesign Version: 17.4 x64
When importing data from an Excel document, an error message is received on InDesign whenever the data includes a formula which returns a blank cell (i.e. using IF formula and returning "").
Expected result: All data from range is imported, regardless of whether cells are blank or not.
Actual result: Error message reading: "Cannot convert document. An unknown error occurred during the conversion."
Unable to upload jpeg or GIF (not supported, apparently)!

pdf compare
Hi Team,
While performing Textual compare in Acrobat DC if there is any changes in optinal hypen in a Paragraph it not shown in the compare report both Textual and Visual.
But if we perform the same test in Acrobat 7 optional hypen changes show perfectly. We are ready to use Acrobat DC but becuase of this issue we are still using Acrobat 7. We mentioned this compare issue number of times but no action was taken so far.

CC Library Issues
2 CC Libraries bugs since the new update:
- "Search current library" not working, you aren't able to type anything in
- When opening the CC libraries window, if you have multiple monitors the window will appear blank, but the thumbnails of all your items in the library will be on the other monitor. Adobe Illustrator does the same. The only fix I've found so far is snapping the window to the other monitor.1 vote -

画像のように作業中常に黒ベタのバーのようなものがずっとあります。
スクロールしても一定の位置にずっとありパフォーマンスが落ちて困っています。（起動時によって下半分の画面の左右中央らへんにいつも出てきます。）
再起動してもあります。
これを見えなくする方法はありますか？

Source Sans shifting down issue
Source Sans or INDD has changed from version 17.3 to 17.4. All of the type gets baseline shifted down when you create a new file or if you open up an existing INDD file with Source Sans. It all pushes down inside the text window.
Either an INDD problem or Source Sans coding has changed. Please resolve--its our house typeface.

Relink all Instances
New update does not allow you "Relink all Instances" if the link is broken.
- Excel sheet is placed / linked in file
- Excel sheet is updated
- Right click on broken link and select "Relink all Instances of [...]"
- Relink pop up window appears where it is "loading" file
- Window disappears but link is still broken and nothing is changed.
Only happened after installing CC 17.4

Need Alternative Launch images
I do not think the launch images in photoshop, indesign and illustrator are culturally sensitive. They should not include any people especially not raunchy females (as in photoshops blonde superhero type) female. Who needs that in their life? It doesn't help people be happy with their own partner or spouse to have some perfect looking woman staring at them! They should be totally neutral - landscapes, nature, no people please!! I posted this as a feature request too to at least have the option to disable this launch image. Thank you for your consideration on this issue.

snippet not retaining font
As per the Adobe forum post here (https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/font-not-embedding-into-snippet/m-p/13153510#M489639) , I've added a form/text field into a snippet, but when placed the font used is replaced by Myriad... the font I want is a custom TTF. Is there a recognised issue here?
If I place the *.idms file with that TextBox formfield to the same document where I exported it from all is working good. But if I do a new document and place it there the font family definition reverts to Minion Pro. The style's name will remain. E.g. Semibold if I do this with your supplied font…

submitting an idea to the this form gives 404 error
When submitting a post to this forum instead of a confirmation page you see a page saying "page not found". When I check my activity the submission shows up there.

Indesign - main navigation menu glitch
When I hover my mouse over any of the main nav items (file or edit or layout etc.). and click the menu does not appear. When I click a second time it appears but does not allow me to browse down to select any items - them menu items disappear as soon as I move my mouse. This happens on tool menu items too such as the links window menu. It doesn't do it all the time, but say 1 in 4 times I open indesign. Super frustrating - any one else have this bug/ issue?
