anchored, free positioned object inside text frame is wrongly wrapped
And this is old bug.
1. place a graphic inline at the start of paragraph,
2. switch on "wrap around" in "text wrap" options
3. make place for graphic making apriopriate left indent for paragraph.
Whole text in paragraph is indented reflecting the shape of wrapped objectThis bug was once repaired few years ago, but now it returned.

spell checking for hyphenated expressions
Spell checking has changed with the most recent release, and expressions which were previously acceptable (and which the Oxford Dictionary of Amercican English thought were correct are now being rejected. For instance: crash-landed.
The same problem appears with French text, and there the problem is more difficult, as French has lots and lots of hyphenated expressions. "bric-à-brac" is one I've come across already. Le Petit Robert thinks this is correct, and all previous versions of InDesign did too. Please fix. :)

Alternate filling function of table rows doesn't work on styled cells
Please see the attached video to fully understand what is the issue about: the alternate filling function doesn't work on previously styled cells.
PS: Your server didn't allow me to upload the .indd file where the bug appeared and displayed the following error message: «Invalid file type: .indd files not allowed.» I can't believe my eyes. This is incredible! It's impossible to upload an .indd file on the bugs forum of InDesign! How ironic.

In Design 15.0.2 freezes up and is extremely slow
It takes quite a while to do simple things like create a text box, move the boxes around, cutting and pasting, moving from the selection tool to the type tool, etc. It will even freeze up moving from page to page. It takes forever to get any work done. Please help!

When applying underline feature to TateChuYoko, the underline doesn't show
When applying underline feature to TateChuYoko characters, the underline doesn't show. It means, the underline feature is set correctly, but it does not appear against TateChuYoko characters. We’ve struggled to this bug for a long time. As workaround, we have to create Anchor objects for TateChuYoko characters, or to put stroke lines instead of underline. These workarounds waste a lot of time. Please fix this ASAP.ASAP.

Indents Break Burmese Type
Applying an indent to Burmese type in InDesign makes the text render incorrectly. Please see the example in the attached file.

Please help
Half way through spell checking a document, InDesign has just stopped recognising plurals and suggesting spelling the word with a gap and then the 's'
I'm up to date with InDesign and have been using it for over 15 years and never seen this

InDesign highlighted text sometimes has blanks in attribute sizes, & increase/decrease doesn't respond to blanks.
After we highlight text, InDesign many times shows blanks in some of the attribute sizes. Sometimes with highlighted text all the sizes do show, but often with highlighted text the sizes are blank for some of the attributes we want to adjust. I can't figure out how to avoid this. Many, many times, highlighted text shows blanks. It's a regular occurrence. Further, with the blanks, the increase/decrease tabs (the small up/down arrows) don't work. This causes a big waste of time, repeatedly, as we highlight text. So we have to un-highlight the text. Look back at the attribute size, remember…

For text frames with inset spacing and shaped corners, the text frame can auto-size to be much wider than the actual text
InDesign: 15.0.1 x64
Creative Cloud: 5.1.0.407This behavior varies depending on the combination of:
- typeface
- font size
- corner size
- inset spacing
- actual text contents in text framePut a few words in a text frame, and keep the text frame selected. I can trigger this easily with Minion Pro, Roboto, and Inconsolata.
In Object -> Text Frame Options:
- In the General section, set Inset Spacing to some nonzero value.
- In the Auto-Size section, set Auto-Sizing to Height and Width, and enable No Line Breaks.
Select the text frame with the Selection Tool. Set the corners…

Adobe Fonts Not Activating
Seems like InDesign is having a hard time connecting to the Adobe Font Library, when I try to activate fonts it is never successful and shows an error, same happens when I go onto the web page to activate.

BUG - Text wrap around image ok in 15.0.1, broken in >= 15.0.2 when changing text color
- InDesign 15.0.1 (ok), 15.0.2 and higher (broken)
- Change text color in document
- Expected result: change of text color
- Actual result: changed text color and broken layout

Additional info: the same document is working perfectly well in 15.0.1 but broken in 15.0.2 and higher, running on macOS 10.14.6.

Selecting all and then deselecting some text in one go
I have been using InDesign since forever. Since the very first versions. But something has changed in the update to version 15.0.3.
When I select text, I often want to select an entire paragraph, except for the hidden character "paragraph return". I do that by holding Shift+Command+Arrow Down. That selects the entire paragraph including the hidden character. Then I would normally just let go of the command button and still hold Shift and then push the Arrow left button. That way I had selected the entire paragraph without the hidden character.
But in the latest update, 15.0.3 I now suddenly…1 voteHi,

Impossibility to download polices in Adobe InDesign 2020
I've try many times but I can't activate a police that's presented in a example document. I liked a lot the example but it's impossible to use it.

Thanks for your patience all this while. We investigated on this issue and below are our findings. The problem with this bug is related to ages old standards difference between different operating systems.
On Mac (OS X and later) there is only one way to identify line end i.e by using a single character LF, while on Windows (and DOS before it) uses a pair of CR and LF characters to terminate lines.
Hence when writing them down to any text file these characters are written as such.
Windows, can therefore dedicate LF to understand soft return separately while Mac cannot do any
such thing. Because of this when we read it back from the text file the LF character is interpreted as line break (or new para) on Mac and soft return on Windows.These files require conversion when moved from one OS to another

Tab Palette
The magnet in the Tab Palette goes to the beginning of the text field. When the text field is too large, it should be able to go to the beginning of the selected text when the text field does not fit on the screen.

Misplaced dots in Nastaleeq Font rendering
I'm using Adobe Indesign 2020 for an Urdu book. Most text is in Urdu and my font of choice is Mehr Nastaleeq. The text looks fine in MS Word using the font (see attached image) but In Design is not rendering certain words correctly (see attached image).

Native support for table formulas in InDesign
I have found countless workarounds for scripts that support formulas in InDesign, but how is this not a native tool?

shortcuts: shift + end / shift + pos1 does not work any more
It was handy to activate all Text with shift + end or shift + pos1. This does not work any more and should be fixed.
