publish online full screen support on iPads
Hi,
i am using the great "Publish Online" feature on several documents.
My docs are ok everywhere...Except full screen browsing :
• working perfectly on desktop browsers, when clicked on the icon in the inferior bar.
• working perfectly on iPhone (recent os) when switched in landscape mode.• not working on iPad (recent os, iPad 2, iPad Air and iPad Pro), none of the gesture will work, and none of the browsers neither…
I've tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera.Impossible to obtain a full screen viewing, which is really required for a presentation. The upper bar will remain for ever.
Thanks a lot.

Make the standard fonts within InDesign and other Adobe design softwares ALL the same across both the Mac and PC platforms.
I am a college student studying graphic design. In my classes the school provides Apple Mac computers to do our in class work. However, I own a Windows Surface Laptop. So when I need to finish projects outside of the classroom it is very frustrating to choose a font on the Mac only to have it changed because the font is not available/has to be imported on the Windows PC (vice versa). I understand that the platforms are very different from each other, but it is the same software. How hard can it be for Adobe to make the fonts in the software the same across both the Mac and PC platforms so that this reoccurring, very agitating problem of "missing fonts" can be completely avoided.

Symbol for automatic hyphen in Find/Change
It would be great, if we could search for words, that are hyphenated automatically at a specific position (I do not mean discretionary hyphens, but those, created automatically from InDesign’s hyphenation module). Therefore a special search character would be useful.

BUG/Feature: Make "Fit Frame to Content" finally work with rotated/skewd content
This is an oversight for…like how many versions?
Try to rotate your image inside your picture box, and use Object » "Fit Frame to Content".
Normally, with no modification with the content, the feature works well. But if theres rotation, geez, its way off!

Make spellcheck apply to paragraph styles
It would be super useful to be able to run spellcheck only on certain paragraph styles. I run a directory that includes hundreds of names that get flagged, and if i I could run spellcheck just on body copy + headline paragraph styles, it would save me hours each month.

Allow Data Merge to use .csv with semicolon separated text
Currently one has to use tab separated text (.txt) or comma separeted text (.csv). When using the .csv-export from Excel, it generates semicolons as separators, which is helpful because there may be a comma inside a table cell. So it would be helpful to use this text directly in InDesign.
This might be an issue only in the German version of Excel/InDesign, but it causes a lot of trouble.8 votesThis feature has been implemented in InDesign 2020. Please use this version of InDesign to use this feature.

Frame / Cell strokes and border-radius more like CSS
As an extension of the idea 'Allow different coloured/weight strokes for sides of a text box' - I would like this to apply to table cells as well.
I use InDesign to do high-fidelity web UI mockups. It would be really nice if there were more options which corresponded directly to CSS.
What we would need is the ability to set a per-object or global equivalent to "box-sizing: border-box", so that stroke weights don't add to the size of a table cell, but always render aligned to the inside.
Secondly, give regular text frames the same editing ability as table cells, with per-side stroke colours and weights.
Third, enable border-styles equivalent to CSS standards.
Fourth, as a convenience, being able to set border-radius on table cells (or even just the outer corners of an entire table) without it affecting inner cell padding would be marvellous; currently we have to hack this by layering a transparent table over a rectangle with rounded corners.

New utility feature called: "Move Link(s) To...".
It would be great to have another utilities feature called: Move Link(s) To...
Ideally it would function the same as Copy Link(s) To... but instead of copying it would just move the files.
This would allow for a cleaner file setup where you can move all your files from a document into one location without packaging and having the files as duplicates on your computer.

Not currently able to change the location of InDesign GenAI Assets.
I want to be able to have the InDesign GenAI folder on an exernal SSD or Dropbox like the assets in Premiere/After Effects.

Need to View and Edit Alt Text in InCopy
As an editor I need to be able to preview Alt text for Images and also edit that Alt Text if needed. Currently I need to go to Indesign to do that.

New “Hide Spread/Show Spread” feature: automatic page number adjustment
I was excited to discover the new 'Hide Spread/Show Spread' feature in InDesign. Page numbers on visible spreads don’t adjust automatically when other spreads are hidden in the document. Thus the feature becomes useless for any document that uses page numbers – at least within my workflow.

Pages Folders!
Being able to group and collapse sections/chapters/draft/optional layouts would be a huge help.

Better Relinking to CC Libraries
I'd love to see some much needed quality of life/functionality improvements to CC Libraries in InDesign when relinking:
Ability to Search when relinking
Ability to see/sort by groups when relinking
Ability to change view (thumbnail/list) when relinking to CC Libraries
Infact, anything more than the current 'Relink to CC Librarires' functionality, which is literally just a list of every single asset in that library sorted by name
We have thousands of assets in some of our libraries, which are all nicely sorted by group. But this is useless when this is completely ignored by the CC Libraries panel.

Add more (EU) Blank Document Presets like A6, Square
I don't understand why we're still limited to A4, A5 and A3, but other common sizes like A6 and A0 are missing. Same goes for social media sizes. Making our own presets would be a solution if we were able to arrange the preset order. Please add more options and/or make it easier for us to arrange our new document screen.

Font Height Reference. Can we have this existing Illustrator functionality for Indesign?
This is very useful for producing legible large-format environmental graphics. Often distance legibility tables are based on the x-height or the cap height. Being able to set these directly without an Em box look-up will save a significant amount of time.

LayoutWindow to get and set view bounds
With LayoutWindow.bounds I can get and set the bounds of the window, but I want to get and set the bounds of the view port, ie. what the user sees inside the window. If view port bounds is too difficult, then just a centerOfView coordinate would be fine—combined with the already-available zoom value, that would achieve most things I'd need.
For what it's worth, it is possible to do what I want in Illustrator.

Page number ranges in TOC
Table of contents don't have the ability to add page ranges.
So the contents look like this:
Section A . . . . . . . 1
Section B . . . . . . . 5
Section C . . . . . . . 9
When they should look like this:
Section A . . . . . . . 1-4
Section B . . . . . . . 5-8
Section C . . . . . . . 9
All this needs to be implemented is to have the second number be one page less than the following number.
This would cover most situations and would be auto updating.

Folders in Pages Panel
Folders in Pages Panel would be most excellent!! So multiple chapters/sections of long documents can be combined and closed up for quicker navigation.
