Adjust Layout - Off by default please.
Finding the new Adjust Layout in InDesign 2019 a bit of a liability as is turned ON by default.
Can you please add a setting to turn off globally and turn on only when needed? Currently doesn't seem possible.
Thanks
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.
If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

Please review faster and update sooner. Tired of hitting undo every time I change a margin and forget.

100% agree. For people who are expert in the app, layout adjustment is often a helping hand that is not required. For people just starting out, it can throw things out without them knowing why.
In the Margins and columns menu, it is turned on by default - so that's an extra thing to remember and another click every time you make an adjustment there.

Agree, please turn off by Default. It could cause costly issues in our prepress if missed.

Hope the review results in turning it off or at least making it a choice. Actually stopped using InDesign 2019, basically because of this. It's a complete waste of my time. 2017/2018 is just fine.

I'm not adverse to change, I even like the new" fixed aspect ratio by default" in Photoshop 2019, but I think this feature is the first time I've been legitimately angry at an update...

Stop making decisions for us, like ID users can't be trusted to decide for themselves. Turn this "feature" off by default!

Layout adjustment was great, ideal for book work with changing margins. This new feature is a nightmare . It should definitely be OFF by default.

Another dumb "feature" to get rid of.

Definitely needs to be OFF by Default.
No question.
Or at least a preference for all documents.
I have never needed the feature and probably never will - now it's just adding extra steps and messing with my otherwise smooth workflow.
Terrible waste of time. -

This has become a real Issue within our Print production department. catching people off guard.
This should be OFF by default, and should not be forced onto the user, it should be optional!!
Maybe this is an oversight by the developers.
Please fix.

This new feature isn't very effective. It messes up my documents whenever I forget to turn it off. Please, turn it OFF by default on the next update.
Thanks in advance!

It's very annoying in this update indeed.
One has to pay attention very closely everytime when adjusting documents. Please turn it OFF by default or be able to set it globally!
Thanks.
