Hiding Pages in a Document
It would be helpful to hide pages in a way similar to hiding columns in Excel. I don't want the information gone, I just need to minimize it so I can focus on the specific pages I need. Accessing this action via a right click in the pages menu would be ideal.

The feature is now available in the InDesign PreRelease build(v19.0.0.093) and above. Please try out the feature and share feedback.

No... thats not it.
We want nested pages that can be unfolded on demand... sort of like the “more...” function on webpages, where you click to unfold.
So the document appears shorter to begin with but in reality its several pages longer.
Dynamic pdf length if you wish. -

Good question. Should they still appear when scrolling or not? I think, pages hidden in the PAGES panel should also be hidden from the pasteboard view.

Hi @abhinav.
I made a corresponding request later the same year, and think they could merge :
Hide/Filter pages in pages panel AND navigation
I got myself in a workflow where I would have a document having sections organised like that : title page / content page / title page / content page…
I have to go back and forth between the content pages, and sometimes between the title pages.
That helps to compare what has changed and what’s consistent between the pages.
So I try to not distract my eye by either going to the pages panel or by ctrl-page up with the « title pages » interruption (think about the (now long gone) photoshop cmd-Z to undo/redo and spot differences. If Title pages are T1 T2 T3 and Content pages are C1 C2 C3, they’d be « distributed » in the document as : T1 C1 T2 C2 T3 C3…
I could assign labels to the master pages and would filter the visible pages « all red pages » then my navigation would jump only to the « visible » pages in the panel. They could be either really hidden, or may be grayed out.Don’t forget an indicator in the pages panel that some pages are missing.
On some documents, it could be used as a « progress » indicator : the fewer pages in your pages panel -> the closest the end of the work/day.

It can definetely help! when exporting only a portion of a big file for example...
I know we can do it by typing which pages we want to export but in that case the page numbers are not accurate anymore.. -

Why is this not a thing? We ALL need to be able to hide a page without deleting for a multitude of reasons (just like in power point). PLEASE add this function soon.

I have a document that I need to customize individually for different clients. I would love to be able to hide pages that certain clients do not need to see. Not being able to show / hide individual pages is awful.

Very needed feature. Also useful for online publishing of a dynamic content, where you can toggle between publishing or hiding pages depending on actual relevancy of content.
Please add -
