That's the behaviour we have with Illustrator files IN Illustrator :
a. - drag an Ai file to an Ai canvas, from a CCLib, you just placed a linked file.
b. - ALT-drag the Ai file (into Ai, from the CCLib), you placed the vectors.a is editable, b is embedded in the document.
Same thing in Ps : drag is smart object (and linked), alt drag is pixel layers.
I'm surprised of that choice for inDesign.

One vote here too, thinking of a yearbook or even logos, sharing visuals that are nicely stored in CC libraries would really be practical.
Workaround so far is to export the cclib, unzip it, rename, reorder visuals… takes ages and is tricky + you have to do it when someone updates your library with new faces/logos.

Hi @abhinav.
I made a corresponding request later the same year, and think they could merge :
Hide/Filter pages in pages panel AND navigation
I got myself in a workflow where I would have a document having sections organised like that : title page / content page / title page / content page…
I have to go back and forth between the content pages, and sometimes between the title pages.
That helps to compare what has changed and what’s consistent between the pages.
So I try to not distract my eye by either going to the pages panel or by ctrl-page up with the « title pages » interruption (think about the (now long gone) photoshop cmd-Z to undo/redo and spot differences. If Title pages are T1 T2 T3 and Content pages are C1 C2 C3, they’d be « distributed » in the document as : T1 C1 T2 C2 T3 C3…
I could assign labels to the master pages and would filter the visible pages « all red pages » then my navigation would jump only to the « visible » pages in the panel. They could be either really hidden, or may be grayed out.Don’t forget an indicator in the pages panel that some pages are missing.
On some documents, it could be used as a « progress » indicator : the fewer pages in your pages panel -> the closest the end of the work/day.
