Provide a linking feature to duplicate text from one frame into others
It would be highly valuable to be able to define a parent text frame and then link that frame to other frames in a layout that duplicates the text in that frame.
This would be similar to the way that text links in alternate layouts work, but the styles to the linked (child?) frames are allowed to be independent of the parent.
Trying to use text variables for this kind of duplication runs into the multi-line issue. Copying linked frames from alternate layouts will result in the parent style of the linked text to overrun any changes made to the…

view style dependencies
This has already been suggested but I would like to add.
The problem with viewing style dependencies using the twirling arrows is that the styles might well be in different groups.
Could we get an option to open (and maybe print) a panel with the style dependencies listed?

Add all DC Pro Roles to inDesign Export Mapping
Currently, the export mapping for styles in inDesign is limited and does not include all the tags that are available in DC Pro. Some important tags that are missing are BlockQuote, Note, and Caption. This creates a lot of accessibility remediation on the pdf side because of role mapping is incorrect. If I have s style in inDesign called Caption then I should be able to use the export mapping features of that style to assign it to the reserved word Caption in DC Pro. Share 'Story' for Review (with word limit option)
Similar to sharing the whole document for review, it would be very helpful to be able to share individual stories with their respective authors/managers for review and comment (without them having to have a copy of InCopy or some such).
It could show up similarly to the Copy Editorand allow the proof originator (me, in this case) to limit the word count of the document (so that amendments don't come back overfilling the permitted space).

Reshaping the edges of the whole book/page(s).
I know there are ways to trim edges of frames. I need you to apply this feature to the Whole book/pages or create a better one so that when applying for a new custom document, amongst the settings where there are inches, bleeds, gutter etc there'd be a setting option for reshaping the edges of new document. This is not about reshaping picture frames, this is about reshaping the edges of book or pages itself not the contents. Please I hope you understand my request.

Display of footnote in epub
Footnotes always appear in Indesign for design purpose, but when we export it to .epub, there should be an option to hide the footnote and it should appear only when the reference number is clicked.

Fix "Analytics" on Publish Online
The company I work for creates ebooks and then updates it by request of the clients. The links can't be changed as people use them in their communication so we have to update the ebooks instead of uploading new ones. By doing this we're unfortunately resetting all the analytics for the ebook. Trying to get the analytics with a delay of "approximately 90 minutes" is a joke in itself. So if I need to update a document I can't wait 90 minutes to eventually see the analytics and then save them somewhere. I suggest fixing this and turning it into…

Make "Find/Change" Queries Easier to Organize and Edit!!
Find/Change Queries are a nightmare to organize, edit, and delete.
PLEASE add basic edit functions while viewing drop-down list of Queries.
Better yet, allow Queries to be saved like INDD Libraries that are Project Specific and can be shared!

Alignment of anchor points is a really important feature
In many many situations - when working with lines, shapes or boxes - being able to align and distribute anchor points is needed. Having to do this in Illustrator and then bring it back to InDesign is not ideal, it makes small adjustments or corrections arduous and time consuming.

Favourite viewing size.
I work with the same size documents and need to see them enlarged (eg 250% is perfect) and also full page. I am constantly going from cmd 0 then typing in 250% into the size box at the BL corner then back to cmd 0.
Is it possible to get some toggle or previous view (like acrobat pro) method that goes back a forth between two viewing sizes.1 voteClosing this as the issue is resolved for the user with the suggestion provided.

Option to ignore the non breaking space and thin space of the font
Many fonts created by English-speaking designers are poorly adapted to French typesetting in terms of the width of the non-breaking space and/or the thin space. It should be possible to ignore these spaces and use InDesign's default spaces.

Export animations as Videos
Since it is possbile to make simple animations in inDesign. It would also be nice to be able to export these animations as a video file or as a GIF.

Style shortcuts letters and numbers together
It will be very useful to use the style shortcuts as "ctrl + alt + **** + a + 1".

The ability to double click on the gradient toggles to access pre existing swatches to select from.

"Select All Unused Stroke Styles" option for stroke style deletion
Give us an option to "select all unused Stroke Styles" so that we can delete them. This feature is already offered in other panels: object styles, paragraph styles, colors. Currently there is no way to clean up stroke styles without selecting each individual stroke to see which stroke style is applied. selecting all unused stroke styles and deleting them all at once would save a tremendous amount of time, cause less confusion when applying styles, and help keep things tidy. What are the causes of Quickbooks error code 15241 ?
There might be one or more of the following reasons behind the occurrence of QuickBooks Error 15241:
- The File Copy Service (FCS) in QuickBooks Desktop is turned off. This service is critical for the QB application's and payroll service's functions.
- The downloaded file was tampered with in some way.
- Alternatively, if the QuickBooks installation was not completed correctly.

Highlight text in preview only
InDesign is often used for templates. It would be really cool if we could highlight text so that it's ONLY highlight in preview mode (W) and the highlight doesn't show in print, PDF etc. That way we can highlight the areas to change each time we edit a template but the highlight doesn't get printed.
