I am an independent author and publisher using Adobe InDesign to prepare books for print and digital publication.

I strongly encourage Adobe to prioritize an official InDesign integration with ChatGPT. I need a conversational interface that can work directly with an InDesign document, inspect the full layout, adjust paragraph and character styles, manage parent pages, preserve Hebrew and right-to-left text, identify overset text and page-flow problems, update the table of contents, run preflight checks, and help export a print-ready PDF.

The current InDesign interface has a difficult learning curve for independent writers who need professional book production but are not full-time graphic designers. A ChatGPT connection or simplified AI dashboard would allow authors to explain what they need in ordinary language while retaining InDesign’s professional layout engine.

This is important to my decision about continuing my Adobe subscription. If Adobe does not provide a practical conversational workflow within the next one to two years, and ChatGPT or another company offers a simpler standalone publishing application, I would seriously consider moving away from InDesign.

Please treat this as both a feature request and subscription-retention feedback. I would prefer to remain with Adobe, but the workflow must become considerably easier and more accessible for independent authors. Thank you for your attention.
