We have released InDesign 2023(v18.2.1.455) with a lot of stability fixes. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.
As per the information provided by other customers, the issue might be related to Typefi Designer 8.7.3 (14).

Adobe InDesign TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Derek S. commentedThis is also occurring in InDesign 15.0.3. Just happened twice in a row. I've submitted crash reports. Extremely disruptive.

An error occurred while saving the comment Derek S. commentedFollowing up on this: using InDesign in its own space, especially when it is assigned to a specific space via the Dock, is very problematic. Sometimes the app is confused on where to activate windows, or the app doesn't appear to the foreground as expected.

Two common cases:
1) Storing alternate versions of layouts that use the same assets
2) Presentations where an appendix, or other layouts, can be toggled on/off depending on the need, similar to how one can hide/show slides in a keynote program.
