An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedJust came back to see if the release of 20.0.1 has meant someone might be looking at this from Adobe. C'mon guys get on this already!
An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedI should add to this, I cannot remember the default behaviour previously but this could be a useful clue as to identifying the erroneous code. Each of the three locations above (Control, Transform & Properties Panel) each exhibit independent behaviour regarding the setting of these locks, where both Constrain proportions for width & height and the Constrain proportions for scaling are not updated and reflected in the other panels. This is not the case for the reference point and the other transformation settings such as flip rotate etc. where when you adjust one they all change in the other panels.
Also this is not a Graphics/Images/Assets issue as it has been logged. It is a Performance/Usability & UI issue
An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedIn both the Control Bar and the Properties panel, this was previously a toggle setting and you'd check it and forget. Now every object every once applied to one, as soon as you deselect the object, the setting resets. Not only that, and possibly related, my transform panel doesn't include the lock alongside the dimensions at all, it is only visible alongside the scale. The scale one seems to be able to remember it's setting, so this is clearly a bug.
Possibly on an unconnected yet related note, resizing via entry of dimensions is ignoring the 'Adjust Stroke Weight when Scaling' option, but is honoured when scaling via percentage. This means I need to either work out the scale factor, or adjust manually by dragging while holding Shift and Control. Not ideal!
Windows 11 system here.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedI'm currently investigating how to go about using Inkscape and FontForge to create a bespoke font file with a couple of unique bullet types. great if you do this thing lots but it would be far easier for one-offs if within the Bullets and Numbering section we had a 'custom' button which enables you to load up and insert an SVG file of your choice for use as the bullet symbol.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedIf I read this correctly, this is actually the inverse of what I would like so I guess both adjustments could be made possible. I would actually like to have my document setup for single pages but have the option under 'View > Screen mode > View as spreads'
But here's the thing, if a document has a bleed setup, for the spreads view to honour that gap and keep it visible between the pages viewed as a spread. That way we can ensure bleeds are setup correctly and print as single pages as needed, or as spreads should that be the case.

Hi,
The ability to Hide Spreads in a document is now available in InDesign’s latest release 19.0. Please let us know your feedback in comments.

I think this needs to take the form of Illustrator's recent update whereby you can filter the layers panel according to various options, except here we do something similar with the pages panel. So if a page gets flagged as hidden you can then filter the panel to not show these (or only show them) thus enabling the user to navigate through the document more quickly. This could also be useful in that by flagging a couple of pages with say a colour (a name, or whatever) you could easily see these two pages and flick between them side by side simply by filtering on that colour even though the pages are separated by any number of additional pages.
