There are a few posts surrounding hidden spreads. Perhaps all these could be view as a whole when tackling.

My specific feature request is that automated text editing functions such as Find/Change and Spell check have an option to disregard content on hidden spreads. Currently the checking process for each of these (and possibly others such a replace font etc.) is interrupted by having found object on hidden spreads and requires that they be unhidden to progress. Keeping spreads hidden is not an option as clicking OK to the prompt that pops up ends the checking process.

Also while considering the addition of this, please consider adding another toggle to disable the checking of items on the pasteboard, as we can streamline the checking process by also ignoring these.

I would envisage the toggling on or off of these features to be added to the dialog box prior to initiating the search, similar to where the Match whole word / Case sensitive options are located.
