Please update InDesign to the latest version, InDesign CC 2018 (13.0) for the fix of the issue.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Edwards commentedI also have this problem. It works fine the first time you try to find something but if it can't find it and you then key something different into the find box, it types the word backwards and it's the backwards word it tries to find.
You have to close the find box down and then do a fresh find and it works.
This has been like this for some time.

The feature to “Preserve Filename on PDF Export” was introduced in InDesign 2019 in the PDF Export dialog.
The option is called “Use InDesign Document Name as the Output Filename”.Marking this Feature Request as Completed.

Adobe InDesign teamAn error occurred while saving the comment Steve Edwards commentedMy preference would be 4. To change the behaviour so InDesign always shows the InDesign file name on export. Personally, it's very rare that I want the PDF to be called something different to the INDD file.

Hello All,
We thank you for your patience all this while.
Addressing this problem has been tricky for us given the random nature of the issue.
Determined to resolve the issue, we had launched our investigation into the matter to identify the root cause and fix it.Many of you must have received email from us seeking more details about the issue.
We have concluded our investigation and came up with the below mentioned finding:
It was found that, most of the times, users were trying to drag an empty polygon which was leading the confusion because the legacy behaviour of InDesign allows dragging of polygon only from its edges or the centre most point.
If the user tries to drag it from any other position, the object cannot be moved. We have tried to improve the user experience in this regard. You can try the same in InDesign’s latest…
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Edwards commentedIs the object you're trying to move anchored in a text box? That would let you resize using the handles but not necessarily allow you to move it.

[ID-4216065]Hyperlinks copy/pasted between files *appear* to break after source document is removed.

Adobe InDesign teamAn error occurred while saving the comment Steve Edwards commentedI've recently been working on a project where there are tables containing hyperlinks. When copying and pasting whole tables from one INDD file to another (on a Mac BTW) it is fine as long as the original document is open. If you copy the table, then close the document before pasting it into another INDD file, it is very slow, you get a spinning beachball and then it pastes it in. However, none of the hyperlinks work and when you select them in the hyperlinks panel, the link is empty.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Edwards commentedI think you also get an alert once you've opened the file to say that there are missing links but agree, this would be useful to have a reminder of before the PDF export stage as it can be annoying

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks

Hi All, thanks for this feature suggestion.
If I understand this correctly the idea here is that you need a faster way to be able to apply Master Pages to the various pages in the document. One use case is that you want to apply a particular master page to Even and Odd pages.
Are there other such scenarios too, where you need more support. It would be helpful if you can mention other such scenarios.
Thanks

This feature is available in latest version of InDesign
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Edwards commentedGood to see that I'm not alone in my idea!
I think it would be best to remember ALL export settings. We mainly use PDF but it would be really handy to remember JPEG, etc. as well.

I know this is a limitation of Acrobat but we often have circular "wheel" infographics that are divided into wedges that have to be buttons. I's really difficult, almost impossible to do when the end result is a square button. I've even taken to making a LOT of small square buttons that are empty picture boxes and they have the interactivity on. It's such a pain if you need to amend them though so I would LOVE this to be changed.
