Folder shortcuts for scripts are not copied, updating to ID2017. In new version the shortcut is a folder and all scripts are COPIED there.
In InDesign, before ver. 2017, I had a folder shortcut in my InDesign scripts folder. It lead to another place, a subfolder under a folder where I've got SVN versioning. When upgrading to CC12.0 (ID2017), the shortcut was not copied. Instead all of the files were copied from the original location to the scripts folder of InDesign 2017. When upgrading the shortcuts should be copied, not the actual files! Extension on top of built-in modal messages can cause deadlock, windows blocking each other
InDesign's "modal" built-in dialogues can show up BEHIND third party extensions, if the extension is situated in the center of the screen. The extension window can not be moved before the window from InDesign has been handled (you may have to press OK or something like that), and that window is completely hidden. When this situation occurrs, you have to force InDesign to a quit.

indesign cc 2018 erratic display behaviour
Issues with linked images and vector shapes just going invisible and unselectable even though they are still in the links panel.
This bug makes it difficult to work, and leads to adding a huge number of linked images since I think they are not on the page.

Temp InDesign 2018 file
Temp InDesign 2018 file does not go away after closing ID file and trying to delete it, the Finder generates an error" -80" (?). By the way, what is the reason for such file to be visible at all? Why does the user even care to behold that file at all?

Adobe Templates - Title Blocks won't allow editing in Modern Media Kit Layout

Chic Media Kit LayoutI would like to use these Adobe templates, but the top title blocks will not allow editing. All of the other text box elements on the page react when you click on them, allowing you the opportunity to edit them. I can't seem to edit "YOUR TITLE HERE" or "MEDIA KIT 2017"
Am I missing something about how to properly edit the title blocks on those templates? I can't even click on it... no option to capture/click/highlight the "YOUR TITLE HERE" section.
Guidance is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

When I command+W and try to scroll up and down with the arrow keyes it takes forever and its inconstant. Basically its not working at all.
I just bought the new MacBook Pro 2017 with macOS Sierra 10.12.5.I restarted laptop and it continued to make the same.

Copying from Illustrator pastes with strange colors
I used to be able to do this with no problem: copy a vector from Illustrator into InDesign and it look the same. Now, when I paste a logo, say, a teal and yellow one, into InDesign, the teal turns red! I have color swatches created in the Illustrator file, but even when I haven't done that, I've never seen this happen before. I now have to import many vector images instead, which is a huge inconvenience.

Surface Pro 4 And Gestures
I have a new Surface Pro 4. When using Adobe applications, gestures on the touch pad (for example pinching or scrolling) either don't work or are really bugy with little control. I was told by Adobe that this is due to the detachable keyboard on the Surface Pro.

fit spread in window
I want Fit Spread in Window to work, all the time, every time!!!!!!!!!!!! I am using version 21.0.1 on macOS 26.2. This defect has been around for a long time, and many people have complained about it. My office colleagues all have the same issue. It works today, and then not tomorrow. It works for 5 minutes in one file, and then suddenly stops working. A Page layout program should be able to display pages! I want to use Fit Spread in Window every single day, and I am so disappointed that this defect goes on and on and on…

Option-drag distance not remembered correctly when duplicating command-D
Title says it, when I usually duplicate an object using option key and after that type Command-D the object was typically duplicated with the same distance. Not anymore…

InDesign 2026 application window automatically snapping to screen width
I like to stretch the InDesign application window partially onto my second monitor but since updating to 2026 it keeps snapping back to the edges of a single monitor.
It seems that if you pull two edges of the app frame away from the edge of the screen (left and bottom, for instance) it doesn't happen. But as soon as one of the edges goes back up against the edge of the monitor it resizes the width.
There is also strangeness when trying to use "normal" windows functions like the clicking the control menu (top left corner of the app…

Numbering
If the numbering didn't start on the first page of the file, but on a specific page (determined by the user), it would be a very significant improvement.
I'd like this configuration to be more flexible and usable for the user, allowing us to modify the configuration (numbering start page, the numbering progression and other features).1 vote -
Font Selector Broken
When I select a font in indesign 2024 (select drop down, start to type name of font "script", select font ) it works fine
When I attempt the same in indesign 2026 (select drop down, start to type name of font "script", system shows me fonts beginning with the second or third letter I typed, e.g. "Cricket")

Interactive contextual menu no longer works properly
Since the latest version 21.0.1, the option enabling the creation of an hyperlink in Interactive menu has disappeared y/or no longer works properly.

InDesign 2026 (v 21.01) Won't lock "Constrain Proportions"
