Correct but wrong German translation for Review Panel
The German translation for »Share for Review« is »Für Review freigeben«. I do not understand why you kept the »Review« in English, but that's not my point here and could be discussed somewhere else.
There is the Review panel, which can be opened via Window > Comments > Review. In German it should be named »Review« as well, because you did not rename the functionality. Right?
But, hey, the panels name ist »Überprüfen«. Correct translation, but inconsistent, as you might agree to me.
So please, change »Überprüfen« to »Review« or change »Review« everywhere else to »Überprüfen«.

Share for Review Unreliable
I love the share for review function, however it is proving too unreliable to be used in a professional setting.
Here are the issues that my team and I encountered on a regular basis:
Review comment window is blank Updating sharing link freezes program Review page in browser won't load (spinning circle of death) Document in browser glitches and jumps around when trying to navigate
These are pretty serious issues that need to be resolved. I like the innovation, but in order to make it part of our process, reliability is the most important aspect.

InDesign Review Feature
My coworker and I are both suddenly facing major problems with the review functionality with Adobe InDesign 16.1 (Windows). This has only been occurring for about 10 days. When the review function actually works instead of an error or just loading nonstop (only works 30% of the time now), the links often don't work in the end for other viewers to review and show up as an error. Now, when this works, the comments from the review link are not showing up where they were placed, and when we go in to implement them manually in InDesign from the weblink,…

Share for Review 'highlight' and 'strike through' issues
The share for review 'highlight' function and 'strike through' function are not visible in the host's files or the online preview. When one of our designers creates a document and then shares it with the team for review we receive a notification that text has been highlighted. When you navigate to the online preview or to the original indesign working file the notification lives in the share for review box but no text is highlighted so you don't know where the intended edit is. The same happens with the strike through function. Pinned items or using the marker tool are…

Gray boxes behind photos in Share for Review
I have been using the new Share for Review for the last little while and am enjoying receiving feedback directly on my documents for import into InDesign. However, I recently went to a published file and noticed that all of the images in my design now have a light gray square behind them. Additionally, the colours and blending on some of the images are all off or look odd. The gray boxes appear on all of my previously uploaded documents, and I've checked from multiple computers and they all appear to show these boxes.
Please refer to this thread for…

Upon adding pages Share for Review comments and pins are mapped incorrectly.
We have a 100+ page user guide that was marked up with many comments. All of these were mapped correctly. Upon introducing 6 new pages (3 spreads) early in the document all of the comments are now mapped 3 spreads out of sync. Removing the 3 spreads did not resolve the issue and now our comments are all mapped to the wrong pages. This is strange as I really would imaging that comments are mapped to specific object ID's rather than a 'physical location'.

Share for Review error message
I am using Indesign CC 16.0.1 and I am trying to use Share for Review—I have created a simple letter sized document with shapes and filler text. When I click "Share for Review—Create" I just get the error message included below. I have tried with multiple documents over the last few weeks—I have restarted, signed in and out of CC...no change.

Share for review
Hello, am I being dumb? I can share individual files, but when I try and share a book, “share for Review” is greyed out and the Review panel is black.

Misplaced pin icons and shapes in Share for Review
Pins or shapes in Share for Review are always shown with misplaced icons or shape "borders". All browsers render it similarly. In Chrome, after reloading and clearing cache through DevTools, pin icons are changed to numbers and shapes disappear (in DevTools there is some error...). Btw, in Opera for Android, there are shown numbers by default. Using InDesign 15.1.1 for Windows, tried different files on laptot/desktop with the same results.
About a week before I used the function for the first time and everything was fine, but I'm not sure if InDesign had the latest update.

Share for Review
Share for Review does not seem to be working even after another update.
I sent an invitation by "Invite Only". My client received an email with a link and the only 2 options available for my client are "Sign in with an Adobe ID" – 99% of my clients will not HAVE or NEED an Adobe ID.
The second option is "Enter a password if one has been shared with you." Unfortunately, I was not given the option to set up a password. However, when posting publicly I could.
And lastly, when I update the file (link), there was no…
4 votesIf client does not have Adobe ID and does not want to create one (it’s free to create), then instead of choosing to send an ‘Invite Only’ Share for Review link, designer should send a ‘Public’ link to the reviewers.

Share for review
During this pandemic, I'm am trying to use the 'share for review' feature for a book I'm laying out. It is 600 pages, 300 spreads, about 333 MB file. It includes images and text.
I've designed other books -- the printer had no problem with the files
I'm using a Mac with InDesign 15.1.
When I tried to share the file, 4 pages - 2 spreads uploaded. I tried again and 8 pages - 4 spread, appeared for sharing. I didn't choose them, it is what InDesign randomly chose.
As an experiment, I created another file and tried to upload…4 votes -
Share for Review: there was an error updating the artifact. NOT updating!
Adobe InDesign CC 2024
I am working a magazine. The size is pretty large, lots of pictures. I was able to create the Share for Review link, and share it. But I am unable to update. Although, I copy the link, open the address in Google Chrome and my edits show. When I mark a pin resolved, it does not show in my indesign file.

Share for Review is very buggy
In InDesign lately when I Share for Review the following things happen often:
1. InDesign thinks that the document I've shared (and for which I've received feedback) is NOT shared. I know it is.
2. I can no longer highlight a comment and copy it to paste it into the actual document.
3. When I click on a comment it will take me to a page/spread but there's no pin/highlighted text/etc. to inform me where on the spread the change needs to be implemented.
4. I get a message that InDesign "cannot load comments" no matter how many times or…3 votes -
Share for review not updating
Clicking "update link " in indesign acts normally, but when i follow the link, and old version of the file displays in the proof. This happens even when restarting indesign and creating a new review.

Share for review missing annotations
Using 17.1 and just upgraded to 17.3. Have loved share for review, but recently I'm unable to see location of annotations from inside ID app or multiple web browsers: Editor leaves a note, I can see the note, but there's nothing to indicate where the note belongs on the page--not all of A's comments but many of them. Other editors also can't see the annotations either.

Share for Review
After sending out a "Share for Review" in InDesign, I went back to the file after people made comments and when I go to the review, the only option is to create a new review. But if i go to my email notification and click on the link, I can see the review that way. I did not "save as" to the file.
3 votesOpen the Review panel (Window>Comments>Review) to see the comments made by the people with whom you had shared the document for review.
Please let us know if this solves the issue for you.

Comment pins move in spread with content
At the moment, pins on content in a story do not move with that text if the text ends up being pushed onto another page. This means we end up with seemingly random pins floating on the page.
Please allow pins to remain bound to their original location as text moves and flows into other pages.
