macOS Catalina 10.15.5. and InDesign. 15.1.1.
Massive problem with CEPHtmlEngine Helper. After a while, my MacBook Pro fan is running high and in the activity window, CEPHtmlEngine Helper is running between 90 and 100%. It is no fun to work with a system that runs crazy.
Why? Solution needed.
This issue is being reviewed again.
Adobe InDesign team
Mojave, same problem on 2 different MacBook PRO, 2012 and 2019.
Did somebody found a solution?
Indesign march 2020: still no good: vent still blowing with a lot of noise because of more than 100 % CPU usage (iMac latest software Catalina). I can kill the process (force quit) and then it stays away for some time. Does anyone of the adobe staff read this??
Same here. I even contacted these jerks at Adobe and they constantly said over and over if it works on another computer it's not the product. The problem is, my belief, is that my macbook doesn't have enough display memory or something to run these programs. They're larger than the older ones I had. Beast!!!!
Also having this issue. This has been ongoing for quite some time. When will there be a fix?
I also have this issue since upgrading to ID 2020.
I'm not on Catalina though. I'm still running High Sierra 10.13.4.
I'm getting the same issue, with the same set up as Sascha. Have Googled and CC2015 had the same problem. Maybe it has returned?

since ID 2020 on OS X Catalina, I’ve a problem with CEPHtmlEngine Helper.
After a while, my MacBook Pro fan is running high and in the activity window, CEPHtmlEngine Helper is running between 90 and 100%. I’ve to kick the process stop it. First, I thought its Photoshop, because I read it on google, but when I analyzing the process in the activity window, it shows, that this is caused of InDesign.
I just found that https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/high_cpu_usage_cephtmlengine.html is a little outdated but it goes like this:
Shut down all Adobe apps.
right-click on Indesign app > show package content > Contents> > Resources > CEP > extensions > com.adobe.DesignLibraries.angular
Delete all contents of this last folder (after a backup of this folder) and replace it with the contents of the downloaded DL 2.2.4 folder
Also do this for PS and AI
I've done so, am still monitoring if this is a solution, but the apps work fine seemingly.

I get the same thing. INdesign 2020 on High Sierra 10.13.6 Pain in the butt to do simple text edits. my fan is always on while im working and the processor is irradic. tried this that a pal sent me.... https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/high_cpu_usage_cephtmlengine.html but it's old and couldn't find folders.
CEPHtmlEngine (as seen in activity monitor)
Using Indesign CC 2020 on Macos Catalina 10.15.1
Sometimes one of these CEPHtmlEngines (7 or 8, I don't know what these processes do, and 'helpers') uses to 80%, the fan goes up, sometimes a beachball. What can I do to ged rid of this??
Insupportable.
Une réinstallation du logiciel ne change rien…
