InDesign 15.1.1 English dictionary missing plural word spellings
Since the update every plural word version is not in the dictionary. Simple, basic words like 'years' and 'days' now show as a spelling error. It was working fine before the latest update. Get it fixed - it's pointless having the spellchecker when so many basic words are missing!
Closing this issue as this is no longer happening.

I can confirm the flagging of the spelling of plurals still persists in InDesign 15.1.3 as of 27/7/2021.
Good thing this piece of software is not from one of the tech giants - they would be getting so much grief.
More precisions and screen shots. Please find a solution, this is very annoying.
• Underlining disappears only if language is set to US English in the character panel as an override of the paragraph style which is set to UK English.
• Unlike yesterday, the underlining comes back when language is set back to English UK.
• This time it is also underscoring some plurals.
Precisions to my previous comment:
• It seem to happen only when originally writing with a paragraph style set up to English UK.
• Underlining disappears when overriding the text to English US
• Underlining does not come back if removing paragraph style override back to English UK
• Doing so on one paragraph seem to fix the whole document, but not sure.
For me, it is the past tense of verbs that get underlined. Proposed correct spelling shows the last letter split. For example, "distributed " is underlined and suggestion shows "distribute d"., or "comprises" shows "comp rises". I am using build 15.1.1

I have written half a million words in a book and now spell check is near impossible!

Still missing some plurals, i.e., competences. I've also noticed some past tenses aren't recognised, i.e., prioritised.

This is still an issue - December 2020. Or is there a workaround?
Still not fixed - it's not even consistent in picking out the same word in the same para - screengrab attached
Please get we even get a response - this is making Adobe look unprofessional.
Still not fixed - c'mon Adobe

Still not fixed, what a nightmare. Useless, time to look for some alternatives.
Absolutely unbelievable. Though to be fair, Adobe tirelessly work in some basic functionality bug every single yet.
When is this going to be fixed?
I'm spell checking large reports and this is very time consuming.
Really hope its fixed soon

I'm having the same issue. Also, every time I use the spellchecker; InDesign crashes. Completely disappears. Brochure/Book/Magazine publishing has become virtually useless in InDesign with this bug

I am also finding plurals are consistently being flagged as spelling errors. Any fixes yet, Adobe?
Any update please, or any response at all? This is costing us time and effort going to press every week.

Yes, please update us. I have tried changing the dictionary preferences from Hunspell to Proximity, and I am now being told words that are spelled correctly are now incorrect... words that were not picked up under Hunspell settings.
Also, I have just accidentally clicked 'Flag idea as inappropriate'. SORRY! Obviously, there is nothing inappropriate about it!
Hi there. I was wondering if there were any updates on this? Thanks in advanced!
Any update on this - is it confirmed as a bug, or is there a scheduled fix?
