Spell Check does not work after installing InDesign 15.0.2
Dear Adobe Team,
in our office we use In Design from several years without nothing problems.
Yesterday we had updated the version 15.0.2. After that, the spell-check (we use the Italian language) don’t work if we import text in a existing document.
But if we import text in a new document, the spell-check work without problems.
Please can you help us?
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – that is, InDesign 15.0.3.
Please update your InDesign application to get the fix.

Using UK English. Still does not work with Hunspell. A fix is needed urgently please.

My dictionary was already set to "Hunspell" and spell check is not working. (Changing this setting to something else did not fix it either.) Please help! Thanks!

No - changing to "Hunspell" does not resolve the issue. If the language is set to US English then it works.
But I am in Canada. When I set the language presence in the text to Canadian English it does NOT work.

After following these directions spell check works but dynamic spelling does not. This should be fixed immediately.

Switching to Hunspell does not fix the problem for me, Hunspell was my current setting when the problem first occurred and switching to proximity and back was one of the first things I tried.
I am having to use a copy of CS6 on my old laptop but I'm looking at switching to Affinity Publisher because I need professional publishing software with a working spellcheck on my new machine.

Hi, this issue is not solved. My dictionary is set to 'Hunspell' and it still doesn't work. It's a crucial tool in my business so this is a major issue for me.

I have already tried this. The dictionary was set to "HunSpell" and spell checking was still non-functional in filename.indd(converted) documents. Yesterday I had to rebuild an document from scratch to enable spell checking. Pain in the A** – - -

There is an additional problem. Even when one uses the Hunspell dictionaries, if there is more than one language in the document, one will not be checked. For example, in a document, paragraphs set to English: Canadian are checked but those set to French: Canadian are not. (I tried to attach a file as an example but the upload failed.)

Hunspell generally works for me for new documents but as I very often need to retrieve archive work it defaults back to Proximity. Not ideal but better than no spell check.

Same problem. Dynamic Spelling not working is one thing, but Spell Check in general not working is very bad.

My Dictionary was already set to “Hunspell” and I had no spellchecker when working off older documents. I just set the Spelling Dictionary to “Proximity” and then quit ID. Then I reopened ID and set the Spelling Dictionary to “Hunspell” and that seems to have reactivated the spellchecker with older documents. Let's hope that continues to work. Too bad I just finished a large project last week where having no spellcheck was a constant issue.

Hunspell switch doesn't work, this is unacceptable

Hey changing this to "Hunspell" does work for me - but I find that InDesign defaults to the the previous settings from time to time - it can't save those settings so I have to check changing it back. But at least I can check spelling now.

I have this problem, and it's a HUGE productivity killer. I was this very day criticized by a CLIENT for poor spell checking. And I would have to essentially rebuild a 12 page document from scratch in a new doc in 15.0.2. to re-enable spell checking. UNACCEPTABLE.
