I have updated as suggested but still have a blank control panel.

I have the blank control panel as well and so would like to update to 14.0.1 but when I check for updates its saying I'm up to date although I'm on 14.0 - so how do I get to 14.0.1 ? I'm hoping to get my control panel back instead of just seeing a long gray bar at the bottom of my workspace... help!

I'm not able to upgrade. I'm running ID 14.0 but have no update option.

Is there a link that works? I'm still without the Control Panel

Wow, I'm new to inDesign and thought I had done something stupid to make it a blank toolbar. It's been 3 weeks I've been using it as is and finally I decided to google the issue. Then, I update and whoop there it is...

Adobe, you're increidble. First there were those incredible bugs in Photoshop CC 2019 and now InDesign. Are you even testing your builds before releasing them to the masses? You know, the masses that work professionals with those tools. I'm just speechless how this can happen.

This problem still exists for me. Blank Control panel. Mac OSX High Sierra. Indesign CC 19. No updates shown to be available.

My user just upgraded to Id 14.0.1 and that started this issue, not fixed it. The updates were applied to InDesign and Illustrator with the same results on both. Turned it on and off, Reset the Start screen, uninstalled and reinstalled, nada.

Since installing the latest version several weeks back, I was hit with the blank floating control panel. I reset the caches and, because my control panel is usually docked within my saved workspace, I haven't encountered any further issues. That was until yesterday. I accidentally detached the control panel from the workspace and immediately the right half of the controls disappeared before all vanished a few moments later. This time, I simply reset the preferences and reverted to my original workspace settings (with the control panel docked) and all is well again. Still waiting for the solid update though.

Concerning this fix, do all Macs in the office need to be updated to continue to share files?

Dear Adobe – PLEASE fix it – give us a fresh update! First update I/m really waiting for.

I really hate how we are forced to learn from month to month what is NEW AGAIN – we need to customize our settings again and again. It makes our work harder – not easier. I wish back the times we bought the programs and were not forced to spend time to find out, how the program we re working with for over 10 years changed ...

As of my newly installed 2019 version, the control window is blank and of very little use.

I've been getting the same thing with panel menus... Align, Paragraph, Paragraph Styles have all fallen prey to it recently. Clicking through the sizing arrows eventually refreshes it but nothing else (eg. resetting the workspace) works.

Had the same problem. it works now properly after the latest Update from adobeprerelease.com

Not sure where we are in relation to the blank control bar issue, however I have been given the following by Adobe as a workaround until the new upgrade (which is soon) appears.

You have 2 choices.

1: is the BETA version which people apparently have below and can be accessed here: https://www.adobeprerelease.com/

2: change the filename and follow the instructions - in the following location:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign\Version 14.0-ME\en_AE\Caches and
rename "InDesign SavedData" as "InDesign SavedData_bk"

After Updating InDesign CC2018 to CC 2019 the control bar doesn't work anymore. The elements are completly disappeared. And it isn't no longer possible to adjust the control bar.
I have reset the presets and restart InDesign. And after this, it has worked a short time. But after a while it is disappeared again. The solution can not be to reset every hour the presets file.
For me actually it looks like a bug.
I work with a new MacPro with MacOS High Sierra

The beta is working well but I often reopen the program to find that the window does not conform to my previous placement. This build however seems to be remembering custom workspaces, just not always window sizing.
