InDesign 13.1 Crash when show "Margins and Columns" Dialog and click "OK"

  1. Version InDesign 13.1
    Testing Windows 10(1709) and macos 10.13.4, same results

  2. Steps
    1 Execute InDesign 13.1
    2 Show "Margins and Columns" Dialog (Application Default)
    3 Click "OK" button

  3. Expected result
    Crash InDesign

  4. Actual result
    Don't crash

Hello All,

Thank you for your support. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

    I have the newest version and it still crashed when I try to change the margins, three times in a row. I stopped trying to change the margins and now it is crashing at other odd times. Ugh. Frustrating! Trying to get the job completed tonight, doesn't look like it will happen. VERY FRUSTRATING.

    Having this same issue. Changing presets without a document open crashes ID on Mac.

    This is not unique to Windows. Happens on Mac too.

    InDesign 13.1
    Mac OS 10.12.6

    If you try to set the default value (with no document open) for the spread borders, ID crashes.

    ID CC 2018 13.1
    Mac OS 10.13.5

    Interesting.
    Had no crash changing margins with application defaults ( no document open ) in InDesign CC 2018.1 13.1.0.76 on Windows 10 version 1803 German.

    Same here, I want to set 0mm for default margins instead of 12.7mm but it's impossible as the app crashes every time I click OK. Frustrating.

    Just happened to me, same steps & result while trying to change default document margins. Nice to see it's reported & under review!
