Display not properly refreshed
In the latest versions the screen often isn't refreshed properly. Only after rescaling or changing to Preview mode the old data is hidden.
Thank you for reporting the issue to us.

15.1.2: still the same bad refresh after changing / deleting something like pieces of text.
In the meantime, I believe it could have something to do with the fact that the doc that I'm working in is part of a Book. And that Book file is open and active when I have this screen refresh problem, and no longer after I closed that Book...

This happens to me since long, first time I report it here:
Working in a document of ± 40pages. When I change the para style of one or more paragraphes, Indesign can't keep up the screen display with this change and shows the old AND the new situation at the same time on the screen. When moving to a new spread and going back to this page, MOST OF THE TIME it's alright. But very annoying. This has been happening at least since versions 2019.Using iMac 2015, 24 GB RAM, latest macOS, ID 15.1.1
PS: this bug-page is also annoying (place bug idea ??) , slow, Adobe unworthy (???)

Not sure if I am seeing exactly the same thing, but I do see refresh issues.
For example, in an existing document select a paragraph and change its style to one that needs a few pixels more height. In some cases, this works properly but in others the newly moved following content overwrites the pre-existing display, making a right mess, until the app has cause to re-render it (e.g. with zoom, pageup+pagedown, etc.)
I regret I cannot see a pattern for when this bug hits, nor provide a definitive reproduction steps, but it's definitely there.

This has been the case for me as well. When I page through a document, the pages display as blank, until I click in a text frame. So if I go through a document spread by spread, I have to click in each text frame, on each page, to see the contents.

I've found quite dramatic examples of this happening. I can make changes to text and images in Normal View, then I switch to Preview and it is displaying the older layout/text of the page.
Sometimes this happens instantaneously but more more worryingly I have scrolled through a document and seen elements revert back to how they looked days again before several rounds of amends, except they aren't really there, they're just like ghost elements that when clicked on eventually refresh to what they should be. I don't even understand how the files are retaining such old previews of the pages.
