InDesign CC 2018/High Sierra - Cannot package files

Since updating to High Sierra I am not able to package files. The error message is simply "Unable to package the document. InDesign cannot access '(file name'.indd).

I am using InDesign CC 13.0.1 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.1

Don't know if this is of any use or not, but also if I try using my bulk packaging script, the error I get is "undefined is not an object (line 186)

Hello All,
The issue has been fixed with Apple’s MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4 Beta (17E139).

You can try out the fix by updating your machine to the beta update from Apple.
Let us know if the issue is fixed for you after aforementioned High Sierra beta update.

    This is still a problem. Is there going to be a fix soon? It's creating major issues with my daily workflow.

    Having the same issue - can't package any files after updating to High Sierra and latest InDesign. Also, doc previews are not loading in the start up window - just shows default image box.

    I also cannot package any files from InDesign CC, since I've switched to High Sierra. It's a problem! Please fix!

    Mapped network drive with cifs instead of smb. That solved the problem for me too.

    I am having the same issue that everyone else on this thread is having! After updating to High Sierra, working with Indesign has become impossible. I feel that with the struggles I’m going to miss my deadline for this catalog that I’m working on. I spent an entire day trying to work through what I thought was a buggy system on my Mac. The problems range from Finder freezing, InDesign freezing, or my entire Mac just locking up. I wish I had found this thread earlier. Please fix!

    I have a user with same issue trying to package via SMB protocol. I switched user over to CIFS and it seems to be working. However, I have feeling this might be a band-aid fix. Hopefully, Adobe and Apple have a fix for this soon.

    This was a band-aid fix, it is not working again.

    Just updated to High Sierra, and bam! "Unable to package document."

    I would like to add that I am experiencing the same issue. We cannot package files using MacOS HighSierra and InDesign CC 13.0.1 If I downgrade InDesign to version 13.0 (NOT 13.0.1) it works again. This has been an issue for a while now and I would love to see it fixed.

    My files are contained on a server and InDesign will not package the files. I also get the warning that InDesign is unable to access the server on which the file I am attempting to package resides. The only work-around I have found is to create a new folder on my desktop, save the InDesign file to that folder and package from there. Seems to work, but a real time waster. Super frustrated right now.

    same issue here, still no news????? I'm also experiencing a lot of Finder crashes, and other Adobe CC applications that are not responding.... Not a very good combo High Sierra and Adobe CC... Pretty expensive and not reliable at the moment :(

    I and several designers here have the same problem. Here is a work around: Create a new book, add your document and package from there. That has been working for us.

    Installed Mac OS 10.13.3 Beta 5 and that did not solve this issue !

    Also having this issue... had I known, I wouldn't have upgraded to High Sierra. Please give us an update as to when this will be fixed!
