InDesign remains as front window even when another application is active (like right now when I am typing)
MacOS14 has been released, and many of us have upgraded so as to be able to use it. However, many Adobe products have not come unaffected through the transition. Could Adobe please fix the issues (flickering, windows acting like panels and floating above the active application like happening right now with InDesign).

Content Collector Panel doesn't open up on MAC M1.
Content Collector Panel doesn't open on MAC M1 chip. It worked once and since doesn't open up when I click the tool. Is there a way to open it manually?

ID 18.3 click movement
When I click on a text box or any other element it will be moved I think of 1px. Why???

UI Artifact on Apple M1 Max with ultrawide screen
Display Artifacts
- Macbook Pro (2021)
- Apple M1 Max
- macOS 12.6
- Display: C49RG9X @ 5120x1440 120Hz
- App: Adobe Indesign 2023 v18.0
Ever since switching from an Intel mac to M1 mac, indesign randomly display this artifact anywhere when I scroll thru my working document. Previous 2022 version also suffer this problem, it's totally random. Only way I can get rid of this is zoom in and out and the artifact will go away. (Screenshot blur out some element for privacy purpose).
Also maybe this is also related to sleep & wake up of the mac on ultrawide resolution, after waking up…

Pasteboard flashes in sync cursor with GPU performance enabled
In my experience, this is a new issue arising with InDesign 2023. Anytime the cursor is active in a text frame, the pasteboard flashes in sync with the cursor. If I click another application so the cursor stops flashing, the pasteboard also stops flashing. If I select the frame or something else in InDesign so the cursor disappears, it stops flashing. But anytime the cursor is active and flashing, the pasteboard also flashes. It's very annoying and distracting, and assuming it's a graphics issue, I deactivated GPU Performance. Indesign M1 Beta expired
The beta suddenly stopped working and won't allow med to access InDesign on the M1 machine, no update on the Creative cloud installer beta section, and removing and reinstalling the app doesn't solve it.
Will there come a new beta update soon?
12 votesFix for this was available in the previous release of InDesign – InDesign 2021. Please update to the latest update of InDesign 2021 or install the latest version of InDesign 2022 to get the fix.

Text box disappears, styling not displayed in real time
I am using the latest Indesign update for M1, 16.3.2 (Big Sur 11.4)
I am now having problems where the text box that I am styling disappears. I either have to zoom in or out, flip pages, or now go as far as closing the file and opening it, because Indesign is either not displaying the changes made, or the text disappears. Placing a cursor within text is also not accurate, and either a character to the left or right.

Speed up cross references
Opening the cross reference panel can be painfully slow. This has been an issue since at least InDesign CC, but maybe now is another chance to fix this.
Behaviour is triggered by size of document and/or number of cross references. E.g. I'm working on a ~200+ pages document with about 150 cross references – both of which isn’t that extreme – and opening the panel takes around 4 minutes (yes, minutes). Interestingly enough, if the panel once opens and I change "Link to" from "paragraph style" to "text anchor", next time the panel opens instantly. Change it back to "paragraph…

Remove file extension in Captions
I want to set up Captions to have the filename beneath the image, but I want an option to hide the extension.

Selection Tool cursor disappear issue
After few hours with no activity on Mac with Silicon disappear the Selection Tool cursor on the artboard. Quit the app and reopen it works as a solution for now.

Scrolling redraw errors
Scrolling quickly thru a document created for dummying a magazine, and the screen did not redraw parts of the document correctly. Happened twice before reporting. Tried uploading a screenshot, but would not post with it.

Kashida and Diacritical Positioning dialogues no longer available
Hi InDesign team, I do not have the Arabic language support dialogues available any longer on M1 Mac which where available to me on Intel previously. Specifically, my Kashida dialogue in Character menu, and Diacritical Positioning also are not available. Please rectify this.

right click on the REVEAL in BRIDGE
When I go to the LInks Panel and right click on Reveal in Bridge, both the 2021 version and this beta take me to the CC App screen, Not Bridge. Bridge is installed and is current

Command "O" does not always work
Opening documents with Command "O" does not always work. Many times I have to go back to the Home Screen to open a document. This is both in the current release and the Beta.

InDesign links and Box Drive
This appears to be an issue only with InDesign and Box Drive.
Steps to reproduce:
1. In InDesign, link to an Illustrator file or PDF with multiple artboards, layers, or pages from the Box Drive folder.
2. Place the file and select a single artboard or page.
3. Save, close, and re-open the file.Result:
The linked file will no longer update. Perpetually needs updating even though the file hasn't changed.
The workaround is to save the linked file to Adobe Libraries.Expected:
The file link should show that it is updated in the links panel.

Looking for InDesign 2020 to install on new MacBook Air
Hi there, I just got a new MacBook Air and searching my CC for Versions of InDesign 2020. I need it to work together with the publisher app «Wood Wing Studio» which doesn't work on InDesign 2021. But my Creative Cloud only show's me Versions to intall from InDesign 16.0 upwards. I also had InDesign 2020 installed on my old MacBook Pro running on Big Sur and had no problems with it. Is there any solution for this? Thanks!
