PDF Comment Loading in the Master Page
We have recently updated to 2020 version. In the previous version when I load PDF comments in InDesign they appear in the pages where they are suppose to appear. Now, in the 2020 version, they appear in the Master Page. Why is it like this?
Also may I suggest when copying text in the PDF Comments panel that the "Command+C" be activated as this is more instinctively than clicking the "Copy" button from the panel.

formatted text
- 14.0.2
- importing pdf comments that have bold and italic text in the replacement text
- that it would show as bold or italic in the pdf comment dialog box
- shows all text as none formatted
I can understanding it would be difficult to get that text to change to bold/italic when i click accept, but if i at least saw that it was bold/italic in the preview box i'd know to make that edit manually.

"PUBLISH ONLINE" - DESCRIPTION FEATURE
INDESIGN > PUBLISH ONLINE > GIVEN OPTIONS - Title & description fields = what is the intention behind these options?
My intention to use these would be, to supply additional information within the document/ link to my client, whom I share this link with.
> Client opens the document > but the provided information are not displayed anywhere... so what's the point?

Can't accept "highlighted" text (with replacement text) using Import PDF Comments
For years I have taught my clients to not use insert or strike through, simply because they are hard to see and click on, especially on a laptop. I much prefer the old school way, highlighted text, with an attached replacement text. Now with Import PDF comments, I see them but can't accept them. Can you make that work?

Restrict printing of PDF until all mandatory fields are filled in.
I have designed a CC authorization form that all fields are set to mandatory and with a PRINT button at the bottom. However I want to restrict printing until all fields are filled out. What's the sense of making fields mandatory if, basically, they aren't?

PDF comment: need Insert Text at Cursor tool
People who are reviewing now only can add a sticky note, , highlight text, underline text (and add a comment), strikeout text and draw. Adding text. The regular Comment toolbar also contains the Insert Text at Cursor tool. This must be added to the review features when documents are sent for review via the new Send for Review feature.

PDF comments panel does not stick in workspace
We have discovered that the PDF Comments panel disappears when a document is closed.
But we have also found that any panels that are grouped with the PDF Comments panel in a saved workspace disappear when the document is closed.
Refreshing the workspace brings them all back.

Solved PDF comments become unmapped
Some solved PDF comments shows up as unmapped and unresolved.
I often end up with a long list of unmapped comments after I am done solving the list of comments.2 votes -
Selection of PDF Comments
InDesign CC2019 (14.02 x64) Windows 10
I am only able to select the corresponding sticky note icon from imported PDF comments at 100% or less view magnification. This is unhelpful as at this scale, large dimension sized documents the text is greeked out, I need to zoom in to see what is written in my document to compare against the comment, but then have to zoom back out to select the next icon to bring that comment to the fore of the list.
Please correct so I can select sticky notes while panning throughout a document at >100%.

PDF Comments Insert Issues
PDF Comments do not insert at the correct location when the Insert is marked at the start or the end of a paragraph. The insert at the start of the paragraph instead gets inserted at the end of the previous paragraph. The insert at the end of a paragraph instead gets inserted before the final character (tested with period and question mark and happened with both).

pdf comment
PDF comments are made in an export from a book document from InDesign 2019.
When importing the comments in the different InDesign files from the book, the comments from the previous book files appear somewhere between the comments of the current book file and are not marked as unmapped comments.1 vote -
Unable to Import PDF Comments from Acrobat 2019 Shared Review
PDFs with shared Reviews running off the Adobe Document Cloud are not able to import comments into InDesign.
Since Acrobat 2019, we are no longer able to use our own review server. There's now a big blue button to share the review using the Adobe Document Cloud. While this simplifies using Shared Reviews, the review PDF is now hosted and maintained by Adobe. Then, there is no longer a way to import the comments into InDesign.
To import a PDF's Shared Review Comments, InDesign requires access to the copy of the PDF containing the comments. With Acrobat 2019, this copy…

InDesign CC1019 - Import function of PDF comments on graphics are incorrect
Step 1: Export PDF x4 from ID 14.0.1
Step 2: Correction of the PDF file with Acrobat DC 2019.008.20080
Step 3: Import PDF comments into ID file from before (ID 14.0.1)Comments within graphics are not clearly assignable after import in InDesign.
In Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, the corrections are displayed correctly
If in PDF text corrections to graphics are marked with the PDF correction function, they will not be displayed completly when importing to InDesign. Or these are displayed in the wrong position.

Imported drawn PDF comments don't adjust in ID layout
- ID 14
- Import a batch of PDF comments into layout, including edits made using the Oval and Arrow tools to show placement. Then proceed to apply edits, thereby adjusting the location of the text on the page.
- I would expect the drawn edits to be tagged to a location in the text, and to track with the copy as it reflows. If this feature is going to be available, that is.
- Actual result: the markup remains on the page at the coordinates at which it was imported. By the time to you get to that location, if you've been making…

Imported PDF comments not accurate

- Import PDF comments from file, including strikethroughs, replaced text, comments
- Some edits NOT SHOWN in ID file, though clearly present when PDF is viewed in Acrobat
- Faithful transfer of all edits to ID file

import pdf comments
- ID 14 Mac
- Copy text out of a comment to paste into layout
- Would expect that the cursor could be used to select all or part of an imported PDF comment
- In fact it is EXTREMELY difficult to get the palette to recognize that text is selected in the palette interface. The "Copy" popup does not appear a large proportion of the time, or you can't select the range of characters you need. Even though Acrobat is terrible at the same process, it is significantly faster to copy the needed range of characters from the comment in Acrobat and switch…
