1. InDesign crashing while saving the document to GoogleDrive

   Crashes when saving to google drive.

   Not only crash the program, but the whole laptop. Running MBP 2017.

   File was lost and corrupted the original file.

   Lost hours of work.

2. Index entry crash 2021

   Adding index entries is crashing the program. I've also had issue copying and pasting and dragging copies on certain pages that I have had to rebuild instead. Really disappointing and driving me crazy with a deadline looming

3. When will Indesign (and the whole adobe package) work with properly with Catalina?

   Indesign keeps crashing, version 2021, and earlier versions - tried this. Illustrator and photoshop, acrobat too. Very frustrating, luckily been able to work on my laptop instead. But as a good customer I am paying for software that isn't compatible with the platform that it is used with constantly? The update panel forces one to upgrade the OS and then it crashes. Pleaaaase fix this. 2020 is sad enough already

4. Updating Excel file causes crash

   InDesign 2021 on Mac 10.14.6
   Clicking link to update file causes immediate crash.
   A quick internet search finds that his been a long ongoing issue. (Maybe fixed at times? I'm not seeing posts for 2021 version.)

6. minion pro black

   Whenever I open a document that contains the missing typeface Minion Pro Black, Indesign crashes on mac. Over and over...
   It does not crash when opened on PC.

7. switching between documents in just upgraded (16.0.1) takes around one minute

   both documents are similar, 20 pages, Indesign has 1GB RAM occupied.

8. Hello, I am using online document sharing to retrieve comments directly into inDesign. Unfortunately, the name of the correctors are display

   I am using online document sharing to retrieve comments directly into inDesign.
   Unfortunately, the name of the correctors are displayed but their comments are invisible (text crossed out, underlined or added text).
   A small blue wheel spins next to the filters icon.
   Moreover, since this document sharing online, InDesign crashes every open.
   Thanks for your help

9. Indd freezes, then crashes, when opening linked (placed) indd files from an indd file

   Indd 16.0 x64, and the previous version. Windows 10. Create a document with test and also linked Indesign "sub-documents" in it. Run spell-check or find & replace, set to check all open documents. Indd opens the linked document, then freezes. You cannot save, quit, or anything. I have submitted numerous crash reports.    My documents are typically books with 10-20 indesign files in each book. Some of the indesign files have placed (linked) indesign files, typically standard "boilerplate" that must be the same everywhere. When I run a spell check across all of the open docs in a book, it opens the linked file then freezes. I later discovered that it does this on a single document if it has placed indd files and you tell it to search all documents.

10. InDesign and Publish, Document, Online using MacBookPro upgrade

    Upgraded MacBook to OS Big Sur v.11.0.1 and now the Adobe InDesign > Publish, Document, Online does NOT work. It does work for a NEW single page doc. MacBook CRASHES when InDesign SPREAD publish online feature is attempted. PLEASE HELP!!! All of my Adobe InDesign docs are SPREADS and I love the online feature.

12. balance columns + Span Columns = freeze

    Version: Indesign 2021; 16.0

    In a 2-column text box with "Balance columns" on, I applied "Span Columns: All" to a line of text. If I hit "OK" or turn on the preview, then Indesign freezes until I Force-Quit.

14. ID 16.0 – Crashing in Split Layout View When Cutting and Pasting Text

    InDesign crashes when doing the following:

    1. Open or Create a document.
    2. Enable split layout view
    3. Create a text frame in each view
    4. Fill one of the text frames with type
    5. Cut some of the type into the other frame
    6. Cut some more of the type from the filled frame
    7. Copy the text in the other frame
    8. Undo the cutting of the text
    9. Re-cut the text
    10. Paste the text into the other frame
    11. CRASH

    This is present in both ID 15.X and ID 16.0 and crashes with documents created in both new and old versions of InDesign.

16. Indesign 16.0 crashes when copying text with anchored object

    ID crashes every time I try to copy text that includes an anchored object. As soon as I hit CMD+C, it crashes. I can copy the anchor object separately, but trying to grab it inline with text does not work. I've tried it with multiple different areas of text/objects. This has happened over the last two days, repeatedly, after multiple re-starts and prefs updates. ID 16.0 on MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.7.
    EDIT: It seems to be an issue with one specific object. I can't seem to even copy that one by itself without crashing. I'll keep playing around to see what I can see.
