1. Bug: UXP plugin panels become unusable when pressing Alt+F4 on Windows

   InDesign 20.2 x64 on Windows 11

   Steps to reproduce:
   - Open any UXP based plugin panel on Windows OS (does not occur on Mac)
   - Click inside the panel to "focus" it
   - Press Alt+F4

   Expected result:
   - InDesign window/app is closed (Alt+F4 is the default Windows shortcut for closing a window)

   Actual result:
   - Plugin panel contents becomes blank.
   - Situation is unrecoverable in InDesign. Closing the panel and reopening it has no effect. InDesign restart is required.

   "Ironically" this issue also occurs for the built-in "Plugins" panel (likely also UXP based?)

3. Crash/Error Reporting & (non)Solutions

   I have been using Adobe products since the beginning. After a crash, I have not ever once had the Error Report that 'searches for a solution or workaround' come back with any solution—working or not. Has anyone ever had a useful solution or workaround come back? Just me?? I am guessing it is still valuable to send the reports, although not sure about that either.

4. [ID-4256362]Cannot drag and drop InDesign files into InDesign

   With no open files in InDesign, I cannot drag and drop an InDesign file from Explorer into InDesign. Double-clicking an InDesign file does work. Selecting multiple InDesign files in Explorer and then pressing the Enter key does work whether InDesign is running or not.

5. Index type range bugs

   I specifically have my problems with "To Next Use Of Style" and "For Next # Of Paragraphs"

   1. To Next Use Of Style
      The adobe guide specifically says that the range is until the NEXT use of the specific para style but if the paragraph that contains the index marker is the same as the intended end of range, it only recognizes the first page. It counts the current para style aswell.
      So if I want to i.e. make an index marker on a bridgehead with a range until the next bridgehead, I have to put the marker to the beginning of the following paragraph instead of on the bridgehead as the author intended.

   2. For Next # Of Paragraphs
      Here the range is always only to the beginning of the paragraphs, not till the end. So if I have an index marker on a paragraph and the range should end at the end of the first paragraph which exceeds to the following page, I have to type "2" instead of "1" since the latter only counts the beginning of the paragraph (or in this case the point of the index marker) and thus only the first page is shown in the index output.
      But Using the n+1 method is buggy if there are later corrections and the sentence flow shifts in a way that this paragraph that was previously splitted to two pages now is placed on one and ends on the bottom of the page, whereas the next paragraph begins on the following page. In this case the previously page rage will still be set until the beginning of the second paragraph and thus include the second page wrongfully.

   TL;DR
   Please make the page-range type function "For Next # Of Paragraphs" disregard the style of the paragraph with the index maker.
   Please edit the function of "For Next # Of Paragraphs" in a way that the range ends at the end of the paragraph, not the beginning.

7. quote mark position in RTL paragraph when Arabic and English text mixed and line break

   InDesign 20.2 (ME)

   In a paragraph where there is text contained within opening and closing quote marks and that text has a mixture of Arabic and English words, if that text happens to be at the end of a line and automatically flows to the next line then the positions of the quote marks reverses and are incorrect. If I force a line beak then it fixes itself, but it leaves me with text in one line that is shorter than it should be.

   This problem also appeared a few versions back, can't recall exactly when, a year or more I think, but then seemed to be resolved in a later update.

   PDF attached to show the problem (InDesign file can't be attached for some reason?)

8. Data merge problem - InDesign does not load CSV file with accented symbols

   If in InDesign 19.0 I use the CSV format with the East Europe character set in the data merge, then I can merge data with Czech accents without any problems. However, in Version 19.4 and above, I cannot do this. I have not been able to solve the problem and the data loaded has missing symbols. The only solution I have found so far is to install InDesign version 19.0, where the data merge works correctly.

9. recent files

   InDesign v20.2 x64

   Recent files is not working properly. I work on files stored on a network server. Recent files, both on home screen and file dropdown only show files that are stored locally on my computer. Files that I have recently accessed from the network don't show up. They show up briefly, but I think get forgotten when I disconnect from the network and reconnect. This is one of the main way's I open files because the network paths are long, and is a major inconvenience!

10. "recent" files date modified

    It's January 2 and all my recent files (updated within the last couple weeks or month, meaning December) are showing up as being from "1 year ago" which is not quite true.

11. indesign reverting unit selection

    Each time I set up a new document in InDesign (and only in indesign this happens), it defaults to Pica measurement (my preference is set to mm) and when I change it and begin to fill out the measurements, it reverts back to pica 2-3 times before it'll stay on mm.

    I've tried:
    -re installing
    -changing/checking preferences
    -resettting preferences

    Unsure if a bug or something I've missed.

12. InCopy: Notes in text shifting randomly when exported as PDF.

    InCopy version 18 and 19.

    To recreate the issue : add a note to any point of a text paragraph in InCopy and export the document as PDF. This results in the note (yellow sticky note) shifting randomly within the PDF document.

    What should happen is that the yellow sticky note should be in the area of where the note was initially anchored in InCopy, after you export it as PDF.

13. Skewed Images when opening saved file

    After I make an InDesign document, if I don't make a PDF copy before quitting out of InDesign, the entire document containing placed images and text is lost when I quit out of it. Having the PDF allows me to see what I had done in InDesign, but I can't of course update or alter the PDF.

    I tried tossing out the preferences (shift+control+opt+command (mac) while launching InDesign) and it didn't change anything, it's still giving me skewed images.

    Any idea why this is happening, and how to fix it? I don't even know what to call it. It's a rather new problem, and it's affecting even old InDesign Documents that were not having this issue when they were created.

    My InDesign is up to date (version 20.1) running on a Mac (version 12.7.6)

15. Unable to move any layers with mouse

    All layers are unable to move by clicking & dragging with mouse. When trying to drag, a red circle with a cross appears. Only way to move any layers is by nudging with keyboard. *All layers are unlocked
    Extremely detrimental to productivity & ability to work!

    The connection point sizes for Single field selection and Double field selection are different.

    The dimensions also differ between the Black arrow selection and the White arrow selection.

20. Creative clouds library syncing issues

    Indesign 20.1

    When you try to create a snippet from a groupped objects it shows up in cclibrary side panel but stays inactive. You can see the name artwor1 and can be renamed but it will not be uploaded to the cloud.
    CC desktop app says something went wrong...
    Restarting the PC solves the problem. After that you can upload twenty-something snippet again. Then restart the PC....
