EPUB export converts nonbreaking hyphens to regular hyphens
EPUB export converts non-breaking hyphens to regular hyphens. This behavior should be corrected immediately and export a non-breaking hyphen in an InDesign document to a "& # 8209 ;" HTML glyph.
This glyph, when inserted into an EPUB XHTML content file via manual editing, is respected by most EPUB readers including Thorium. There is thus no standards-based reason to convert these on export.

Adobe Digital Editions bug in Windows
Fixed-format epubs created by InDesign (17.2.1) show correctly in Adobe Digital Editions (14.5) on Mac (OS 12.3) but incorrectly in Adobe Digital Editions (14.5) on Windows (10). I have attached screenshots that show the difference. I was unable to upload the original files.

ID 17 English LTR document with any RTL text exports as RTL epub
I edited this to remove the urgent notice. The publisher does not want to publish this book as an epub.
The basic problem remains, however.
When exporting an epub 3.0 from an academic book written in English with some RTL text sections, typically tables with Hebrew and English text, the epub exports in reverse order. That is, the title page is at the end of the epub, and the last page of the text is the first in the epub. So far it seems that the presence of any RTL elements, even a single character, causes the epub to export…

Swipe gesture not working in Android Chrome.
Swipe gesture not working in Android Chrome.
https://helpx.adobe.com/us/indesign/using/publish-online.html
Among the contents of the above page, "Smoother page transitions with swipe gesture improvements" is specified. However, the swipe gesture function works normally in IOS-based browsers, but does not work in Android-based browsers (Chrome).
Very inconvenient for Android based customers/clients.
To go to the next page, touch the bottom of the screen to bring up the navigation menu/button that disappears every time, and then press the "next page button". The customer/client should repeat this behavior on every page.
This is a very serious bug and must be fixed asap.
I've tested it…

navigation
The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen is visible as soon as we hit a key.
It is a bit annoying when you use this tool to make a presentation..
Can we add an option to hide it ?1 vote -

publish online failure
When publishing online, objects appear missing, indesign drawn objects, text, placed svgs, etc. Shows a question mark where the object should be
I'm using latest InDesign CC, have scanned computer for virus/malware, reinstalled Indesign, with no resolution of problem which started on 3rd March. Previous to this I've been using for 8 months with no problems Publishing Online whatsoever, been totally rock-steady.See this link from Uwe Launder:

Publication Analytics
We need reliable analytics on epublished documents to show to our clients. Over time we update the documents and for some mysterious reason the "Originally Published" date is wrong. How am I supposed to know if the numbers are from the update I made a week ago or or from our first publishing last september. And no... There are no dublicates of that document.

INDD 2019 v14.0.2 x64.
I have an INDD book. I export the book to PDF and everything is fine. I export it to ePub and many things go wrong:
(1) spacing between words goes haywire. This appears to happen when they are Small Caps.
(2) Certain characters are missing and not rendered - for example ḷ, ṇ, ṃ, ṭ, etc.
(3) Footnote hyperlinks are no longer working.
(4) ToC hyperlinks are not working.I attach both PDF and ePub files. System doesn't let me attach epub or zip files si I renamed epub file to "Udana-Master-epub.pdf" - please change file…

Bug affichage éléments graphiques
Bonjour.

Error 39 - An error occurred while uploading your document. Please try again.
Hey all,
Really seeking some help or guidance here, we've been experiencing issues with all of our users attempting to upload/publish a document within InDesign (This is occurring with all InDesign files and on all machines I've tested so far).
I have performed a fresh installation into a virtual machine running Windows 10 (10.0.18363.1854) and version 17.0 of InDesign where the issue is occurring also.
I have followed https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/upload-error-publishing-indesign-document.html#sa_src=web-messag... however disabling network proxy is not an option as we're an enterprise environment.
I can see 200's for reaching the endpoints mentioned in various Adobe support documentation however I have…

Publish Online is a total disappointment
Publish Online is an unreliable source for analytics, one its touted features, and it needs to be resolved immediately.
Here's an idea: make it function in ANY web browser or get rid of it entirely. I don't care if it has a 90-minute lag time, please just start somewhere and fix this issue. I am so unbelievably frustrated that I was able to provide analytics after one hour of publishing my document and now, three days later, nothing appears. It's embarrassing and humiliating when part of my job relies on this to function as expected and it NEVER does when…

Some hyperlinks/cross-references lost in HTML export
When exporting a document containing hyperlinks and/or cross-references to HTML, some hyperlinks are lost.
See the screenshot of an example InDesign document attached. (This is an anonymised excerpt from a much larger document.) The index item at the bottom contains cross-references to numbered/lettered paragraphs in the text above.
In the actual HTML output files from both InDesign 2020 and 2021, some of those cross-references have not been correctly converted into hyperlinks. (Compare the links in the expected HTML output file.)
Ugly workaround: insert extra characters immediately before and after each distinct hyperlink/cross-reference. In the actual 'bookended links' HTML file you…

Bullet/number markers included in adjacent hyperlinked text when exported as HTML
When exporting content containing bulleted/numbered lists to HTML (using the Bullets/Numbers: Convert to Text option in HTML Export Options), bulleted or numbered list item markers that are immediately followed by hyperlinked text get included with the text inside an <a /> tag. It would be more predictable (and easier to format with CSS) if the bullet/number markers remained outside of the <a /> tag.

Swipe Gestures not working
'Swipe Gestures to navigate within pages' used to work earlier in both mobile phones and laptops.
But recently when I tried, Swipe Gestures are not working at all.
Adobe clearly mentions that publish online supports smooth gesture controls : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/using/publish-online.htmlPlease fix this ASAP.

Endnote Links Not Functioning When Published Online
I have a complex document (725 pages across 15 chapters) in which each chapter contains between 75 and 300 endnotes that I imported from the most current version of MS Word into InDesign 2021 (v. 16.4 x64). When I export a chapter as a PDF, everything works reasonably well (although links between in-text endnote numbers and endnote references simply jump between applicable page numbers, rather than to the notes themselves, but I can live with that). But when I publish a chapter or the whole online, only the bookmarks from the InDesign TOC feature work. The links between endnote numbers…
