subscription
I canceled my subscription to Indesign because I just used it 3 ou 4 times a year and 300 Euros by year it is quite expensive. I try to have acces to my files and I can not open it. I suggest that, in case as like me you spent more than 1000 euros to adobe, you can still have acces at Indesign file and use the version of Indesign you had when you stop your subscription. I really have the feeling to be stollen by adobe.

new visual identifier for missing glyphs rather than using the same pink color that indicates 'missing font'
Please create a new visual identifier for missing glyphs rather than using the same pink color that indicates 'missing font'. I have just answered for the 3rd time a client's question why "The text is all in pink boxes but the Find Font dialog says there's no missing font, how can this be?!" Typically this happens when Western-language documents are translated to an Asian or Cyrillic language by pasting in the supplied translation. If the designer is doing the pasting themselves, and if they're experienced enough, they can usually figure it out. But if the translation company does it and then sends back the InDesign file, it causes confusion.
It's bad UI design to use the same indicator color to mean two different things. Making it a different color would avoid this confusion.

Tabs whose location is set from the right instead of from the left (not just the right-aligned tab!)
Recently setting a series of tables of financial data, I noticed that, if the column width varied, I had to set individual decimal-aligned tabs for each column to ensure that the numbers ended up a similar distance from the right edge of the column. (In other words, so that the numbers in the narrow columns aligned correctly on the decimal without having the numbers in the wide columns appear too far to the left.)
Would it be possible to create a set of tab stops whose positions are calculated from the right-hand edge rather than the left? This would have saved me considerable time in laying out this document. The text would still run left-to-right; it would only be the tab stop position that was changed.
The right-align tab wouldn't do in this case because it would lose alignment on the decimal.

Table option to disallow breaking across pages
I would like to be able to specify that a table should not break across columns, frames or pages. It could be an option in the Table Options ('Keep entire table together') that could then be specified in the Table Style. Alternatively, if it's easier, I'd be happy with the existing Cell Option 'Keep with next row' to be available as an option to set in the Cell Style, and I could then apply the appropriate cell style as the basic cell style in the Table Style. This would be much easier than manually selecting each individual table and applying 'Keep with next row' to all cells.

No language for multiple table cells
I create a huge amount of tables for the medical field. The tables have a lot of medical terms and medicines that I do not want to spell check. I could set up a paragraph style for “no language” but some cells do need to be spell checked.
When you select more than one cell down or across there doesn’t seem to be any way to select “no language” at the top of the screen... it automatically goes into paragraph mode and there doesn’t seem to be any way around this.
I would like to select multiple contiguous cells and be able to select “no language”.

Picture frame and actual picture selecting
Sometimes, I just wanna click on the whole frame+picture and move it up/left/down but it selects the picture INSIDE and therefore moves out of the blue frame. Sometimes I need to move the picture inside of the frame and it selects the blue frame instead. And it keeps happening on random like no care for double click, one click or 1000000000milions click. Just add some idk, alt, shift, control, ctrl+alt+shift combination or whatever feature for it to be selecting either the frame or the picture. SEPARATELY! I am seriously tired of this because it does trigger at random and its just hellof an annoying randomness that makes the whole "smooth" work 3x - 10x longer.

Free use of units in Move dialog box
In Illustrator, when moving object, you can choose either pt or mm (or others) regardless of your unit settings in Preferences. This is very helpful when working with graphics and text at the same time ... for example I normally work in mm when moving graphics around, but sometimes it is useful to move text for example 2 lines up or down. In Illustrator I can then type '24 pt' in the Move dialog box - but this feature does not exist in InDesign ... I can only move text and objects in mm.
Would be very helpful to have the same feature in InDesign (actually you could in previous version, before CC)In Illustrator, when moving object, you can choose either pt or mm (or others) regardless of your unit settings in Preferences. Curvilinear text tool on several lines
Instead of limitating the use of this tool to one line, you should be able to make a paragraph based on the shape you use the curvilinear tool on.
For instance, if i want to write on the edge of a wheel divided in different parts, so that the text follows the shape of the circle. Let's say that the name of the wheel's part is a three lines title, when i press enter, indesign would create another circle on wich the text would follow the curve. see atached picture

Allow key bindings, shorcuts and function changes for mice
Similar yet from different worlds, AutoCAD is easy to navigate a layout by zooming in and out with the mouse wheel to where the curser is pointed, as well as to pan by clicking and holding the middle mouse button. Is there a way to do this already? However, it seems that InDesign only allows binding of Keyboard shortcuts. Mouse-bindings can further reduce stress and fatigue when working on documents for extended periods of (Coming from a Civil Drafter of 7yrs). It can also improve the speed of work completed by allowing the user to more fully tailor the InDesign experience to their style.
Side note - using Esc to de-select tools (or default back to the select tool) would be super handy also, hahah (but I don't want to override any other command that Esc has in the program)

Make the first keystroke count
When I highlight text, I'd like my first keystroke to actually make a change rather than deleting the highlighted text. For instance, if I highlighted the word "CHANGE" (all caps) and started to type "change" (all lowercase), I am left with "ange." My first keystroke of "c" doesn't seem to come through. Thanks for looking into this!

A workflow for properly exporting a dual colour-profiled document
Having both RGB and CMYK in swatches is a great advantage if you want to have a single document exported both to screen and print - but it turned out to be a swatch mess... what about a way to acknowledge similar colors as "equivalents" so we could replace entire document swatches from RGB>CMYK (or the other way around) when this export is needed? changing them individually will eventually cause mistakes.
and what about replacing entire link library from RGB>CMYK in order to export proper colours? I converted them and assigned all of their profiles in PS but now i must change all the links in the document (and all the swatches) before exporting - surely there's a workflow or a way around this...Having both RGB and CMYK in swatches is a great advantage if you want to have a single document exported both to screen and print - but it turned out to be a swatch mess... what about a way to acknowledge similar colors as "equivalents" so we could replace entire document swatches from RGB>CMYK (or the other way around) when this export is needed? changing them individually will eventually cause mistakes.

Spell Check prompt upon saving, exporting or printing a document.
When you have finished creating your piece of design or artwork, could InDesign prompt/ask you if you would like to spell check your document? The prompt would come up when you attempt to save, export or print your work, asking if you would like to do this before you complete the relevant action.
This will be extremely useful as this is a key process that gets forgotten by many artworks. This could be a setting option that could ticked on within preferences.
