Show Count of Pages a Parent is Applied to
When dealing with large documents with multiple parents, it would be helpful to know how many pages a certain parent is applied to. There is an old script out there, Check Master Page Numbers.jsx, but it does not show a total count for each parent. (Script results screenshot attached.)

No gap between QR-Code and surrounding object frame
... or else it is much more work to give the QR-Code an exact size or correct alignment with other objects.

Table Cell styles with row height. Also allow complex table styles by row and column.
Ever since I've started using table and cell styles, I've been surprised that it's so limited in what you can do with it not least being unable to set minimum row heights in tables. Many other requested features are missing including alternative row and column styles, minimum column width, etc. I'd just like to have more flexibility in how I use table styles.
I see this has been a requested feature for years which is why I'm creating a new post in case it gets ignored again! Why haven't you implemented some of these features instead of focusing purely on AI features which might be nice for managers looking to downsize their departments but seemed to be regarded as a gimmick by the community at large (looking at Reddit forums).

AND/OR options for the conditional text to show or hide.
As of now, conditional text with more than two conditions is displayed when any one of the conditions is met (OR condition).
Example: This is sample text (Condition 1 / Condition 2)
To show the text, Condition 1 OR Condition 2 needs to be on.
In addition, an AND condition would be very useful.
Example: This is sample text (Condition 1 / Condition 2)
To show the text, both Condition 1 AND Condition 2 need to be on. (Just add a option of AND/OR)
When creating many publications with one template, conditional text is very useful, but not sufficient.
With an AND condition (which I think might be simple to implement), the conditional text function would become much more useful than ever.

INDT file in Book (as styles, variables, parentpage holder)
I want to offer the option to add .indt template documents to a book, with text and object styles and text variables distributed, but excluding pages.
Thus, template documents will be possible to use not only for creating new documents, but also for distributing established styles in a book and even to many books from just one file!
The existing method of importing styles from a regular document within a single book often leads to confusion of style options if the wrong document is selected.
A file from which regular pages will not be imported will be a universal source of styles, for example, for multi-volume publications or magazines.
Alternatively, it is possible to allow only parent template pages to be imported.

Accurate Color-Managed Print Preview in InDesign (and Adobe Apps)
I’ve had this feature in mind for years, but a busy schedule and work across different fields kept me from writing it down. This request is for Photoshop, and if Illustrator and InDesign are missing it as well, they should be updated to support it. In Photoshop’s Print dialog, under Color Management, the preview should match the selected printer, color handling settings, and printer profile. It should show an accurate on-screen preview of how the document or design will actually look once printed. The software should offer the closest possible simulation instead of the rough preview we have today.

Rectangle frames that link to each other so images reflow when one is added or removed like text does in text boxes.
Please make rectangle frames able to be linked so images flow from one frame to the next like can be done with type boxes and text. I work on a 450 page catalog and sometimes there are images that get removed and currently we have to shift all of the images by hand. If the rectangle frames were linked we could delete an image and have the remaining images reflow automatically.

Copy-Paste takes very long

Add a Reference Point option when changing Document Setup
When changing document dimensions in File → Document Setup, there is no option to choose a Reference Point. This feature is very much needed — it would make resizing documents much more precise and efficient.
I truly don’t understand why this option still isn’t available. It’s an essential tool for accurate layout adjustments.

Place Gun Enhancement
We use InDesign in our printing department to place images for printing on our Epson Printers.
At the moment we have page templates with Auto-Fit frames placed and ready to accept the various sizes of supplied images (clients always manage to supply images to the wrong dimensions). Here's what we do :
1. Call up a template.
2. CMD-D to load the Place Gun with multiple files (anything from 2 to 50 - sometimes more).
3. Click in each frame to place the loaded images. Here's where I believe the procedure could be enhanced - in fact it's the only hold up in the whole process.
The only option currently available to the Place Gun is to click inside an existing frame and place the image.
But often the file is portrait when the frame is landscape (or visa versa). What would be brilliant is if a modifier key could be assigned to change the orientation of the placed file so that when you click it automatically goes into the frame at 90 (or even -90) degrees.
Hope this makes sense.
The modifier key should also work if the Place Gun is loaded without frames having been created.
So a click and drag with the modifier key pressed would place the image at 90 degrees to it's normal orientation.Sure I'm not the only one who would find this useful.
Or maybe that should read - hopeful that I'm not the only one who would find this useful !!Thanks !!!!

Dynamic text for Indesign please…..
It would save so much time — while Dynamic Text isn’t perfect in Photoshop Beta, it’s still great. Since InDesign is such a typographic powerhouse, though, it would make even more sense there — far more control, styles, and layout flexibility.

Feedback on the Mathematical Character Feature in InDesign
Dear Adobe Team,
First of all, I would like to thank you for adding the mathematical character insertion feature to InDesign. This is a very important step, especially for users who prepare educational materials, scientific publications, or technical documents.
However, I have noticed a few limitations while using this feature:
The font of the mathematical characters cannot be changed. This makes it difficult to maintain visual consistency with the rest of the document and reduces flexibility in professional designs.
Mathematical characters are not aligned with the baseline of the surrounding text. They often appear slightly above or below the text line, which disrupts the overall layout.
For these reasons, I suggest improving this feature by allowing users to select fonts for mathematical characters and ensuring proper alignment with the text baseline.I truly appreciate Adobe’s ongoing commitment to improving user experience, and I’m confident that this feedback will be valuable for future updates.
Thank you for your attention and great work.

Precise Text Wrap Control for Column Rules
I love the Column Rules feature in the Text Frame Options Dialogue. What keeps me from using it as often as I'd like is due to how column rules interact with text wrap.
I'd like to have: 1. Numerical control of how rules wrap independent from text in the text wrap dialogue box, or: 2. The ability for rules to be locked to baseline grids. Perhaps having both would give the perfect amount of control?
Please see my screen grab attached. You will see that the body copy wraps as expected, but the column rule does not. It's sticking above where I'd expect it to be.
It's possible I'm missing something or some method for this already known in the community. Feel free to let me know.
Thank you!

Binding option for everyone
I would like to request that the Binding option (Left/Right) be made available in all document types and regional settings, not just in specific templates or page presets.
We are a publishing company based in Hungary, and we regularly publish Japanese manga titles. The materials we receive from Japan are prepared in InDesign with right-to-left page order (Right Binding). Unfortunately, once we open or localize these files, the Binding option is often locked or unavailable, which means we cannot simply flip the reading direction.
As a result, we have to manually recreate or copy all pages into a new document with the correct binding setting, which is both time-consuming and error-prone.
Having the Binding setting accessible and editable at any time — regardless of language or document preset — would greatly improve international publishing workflows, especially for teams handling manga, Arabic, or Hebrew layouts.
Thank you very much for considering this improvement. It would make InDesign even more powerful for multilingual and global publishing projects.

Add an option to reinitialize the list of fonts
I would like to request the addition of an option to reinitialize the list of fonts. Before starting a new project, I prefer not to see the previously used fonts at the top of the list. Instead, I would like to have the fonts organized strictly in alphabetical order. This would help me easily find and select the fonts I want to use without the distraction of past choices. Thank you for considering this feature!

Make "align stroke to outside" actually align the stroke to the outside, like it used to.
When you set a bounding box to align the stroke to the outside, it used to mean that...the stroke was aligned to the outside of the bounding box. I thought that was the whole point of that setting. Now the bounding box is outside of the stroke no matter what you set it to. I can't imagine any possible reason for this. Now if I want to position any element properly, I have to remove the stroke temporarily. Please change it back?

Farbfelddialog InDesign
Liebe Entwickler, liebe InDesign-Gemeinde,
Stefan
