Make it easier to find the option for 4-page spreads.
The User Guide needs to include information about creating 4-page spreads. For book editing, seeing 8 pages at a time is great (on a larger monitor screen, which as a book publisher I use.). The Page function allows a 4-page spread, or more, when the user disables the Shuffle setting and drags and connects 4 pages together horizontally in the page view. Fine. These messages sucks. Why keeping the reasons in secret?
Which file cannot copied? On which page/object failed the export?

Apply gabarits with conditions
Hello, after a long research, I notice that there is no possibility to apply gabarits according to rules (presence of text, grep, presence of image, percentage of filled text block, presence of style, etc.) to specific pages (on the first/last page, between some pages, grep-like operation, etc.). This could be done by giving several templates to a page and giving rules to choose which one to apply (with an option to choose the pages dynamically).

Place Linked IDMS
It would be awesome if we could link a IDMS file or be able to add a InDesign file to CC Libraries and be able to place that into another InDesign file. This would be great for reusing pieces of text or layout that occasionally gets updated in multiple documents. When place the IMDS there could be an option to keep the link so if the version in the library is updated so is the placed version or to place a copy that does not stay associated with the one in the Library.

Composite fonts cannot be renamed.
InDesign Japanese version cannot rename composite fonts.
This is inconvenient.Please improve it.

Handling of composite fonts with the same name but different settings in InDesign Japanese version
When multiple documents containing composite fonts with the same name and different settings are opened at the same time, the composite fonts in the documents opened later are forcibly duplicated and renamed. As a result, the number of composite fonts increases countlessly, which is very complicated to manage.
Please assign a unique ID to each composite font temporarily and load it into the application, so that composite fonts with the same name but different settings can coexist in the application.

Open maximised documents as NO Tabs...
...AND retain menu bar + all tools...
(We can browse open pages with ctrl + ` - tabs are not needed!)
It could help spare some place we're loosing for unneeded, visible all the time, tabs now.Similar problem - menu bar is so big... :/ It takes space, too. Couldn't be thinner? :/

Table of Contents
Can we have another ToC option: Layout > Update All Table of Contents where there is more than one in a document.
Where there is more than one ToC they have to be updated individually every time. (I have one document with four ToC's)

Manter controle de alterações sempre ativo
Olá! Seria de grande utilidade se houvesse uma opção de sempre manter o controle de alterações ativo no Incopy, mesmo em arquivos novos. O que acontece na minha empresa é muitas vezes começarmos uma tarefa e só horas depois percebermos que o controle estava desativado. Nesse caso, não há registro das marcações feitas até então. Password Protect PDF Properly
I spoke to the support people who seemed to believe that it ok that locked pdf can be edited by third party software just not adobe software. If it is editable by anything it isnt protected. There should be something that allows you change the way it locked a little with each update. Make the the people who ***** them open work atleast a little...

ability to package without first saving
When creating mechanicals I often need to break a large InDesign file up into multiples- this is extremely cumbersome due to a multitude of poor design decisions:
- Save-as kills file history
- No option to save pages as individual files
- and, no ability to use packaging to save into individual folders.
Please fix all of these

Ability to undo after save-as
Because indesign can't save individual pages as files a workaround is to delete pages and save-as, however, this inexplicable clears the undo history. Please fix this bug, and add the ability to save pages as individual files.

When placing a pdf with drag and drop...
When placing a pdf with drag and drop, rather than simply refusing to do it if the pdf being placed doesn't have a trim/crop/whatever box the same as the previously placed pdf; it would be far more polite to pop up the place options.

I need to include an iCal (or similar) file into an interactive inDesign newsletter / interactive PDF / published interactive web link.
I have gone to extreme lengths to try to find where / how to do this.I send out a monthly newsletter (InDesign-interactive PDF-interactive web link) to update the audience on the coming monthly event. I need to add an iCal (or similar) file to enable them to enter it/download it into their own calendar.
