Page range(s) and pages/spreads options in Share for Review
Export options for Share for Review
Ability to select page range(s), individual pages vs spreads, etc. directly in the export process, not buried in the last PDF export settings.

Please add this as a feature. I’m having people comment new additions to already approved spread and it’s becoming a headache for everyone involved.

Being able to share individual pages of our magazine would allow us to use this feature and would be much more efficient over creating a pdf of certain pages, emailing it to the approver, they make changes, resave the file and email it back to us. All of which is a total waste of bandwidth, computer space, email space and time.

I was a bit excited with the new 2024 Update where it had "Hide Spreads" as a feature but it seems that the hidden spreads do not apply to review. It would be nice if we could get this feature since Illustrator already has the ability to select the pages for reviews. I always find it odd that the individual apps can be so different when it comes to a feature that should work the same between them like share for review.

Any updates on this? Just give us basic settings, or at least restore last used PDF export settings option.

Most wanted feature: Share for Review per page/spread

Share for Review needs to offer the option of individual pages, not only spreads. This is very important to us. Our pages are dense. They must be zoomed to be read. But then the recto page is hidden behind the comments panel. It is clumsy to use this way.

I'm in the habit of creating Presentations in InDesign. And while the end result only shows on page at a time (viewed on a screen, of course), in creating it I like to use Spreads to keep things tidy. Not being able to share Spreads is a major oversight in Share for Review.
We see the same functions in Publish Online, not to mention Print, Export, and all the PDF presents. So I would call this a JDI.
Adobe, get it sorted.

We have started using share for review, and love it for our internal teams! However, we are also looking to roll out using alternate layouts for our separate English and Spanish files. In these situations, we typically only need reviewers to look at one of these layouts at a time, so being able to select the appropriate pages would be incredibly helpful! Until then, it makes sense to keep everything separate which makes tons of INDD files and is hard to keep track of updates across versions.

I work a lot with magazines, I found the Share for Review excellent for saving time between profs, is just not easy to read for the editor as a spread, can you add the single page view to it for documents that have spread pages?

We were very excited to adopt this Share for Review feature as a new proofing process for our department only to feel deflated when we realized you have to share the whole document. The inability to select specific pages to share is unfortunately a deal-breaker for us and renders the feature unusable. Please, please add the ability to select page ranges to Share for Review.

Please add this feature ASAP.
I'm working on a 450+ page book. Exporting the entire book to Share for Review is completely impractical. Seems that adding the ability to specify a page or spread would be trivially easy for Adobe engineers to implement, as this functionality is already built into Export to PDF options.

This would be very helpful. I'm thinking mainly for people who are seeing impaired [anyone over 40 :-) ] or anyone with a small screen. Being limited to comments in spreads could be considered discriminatory toward anyone in that category. But seriously, it really is frustrating to have to zoom in every time you have to make a comment. It would be so helpful to be able to choose your view.

Being able to share ONLY a selected block of text for review would be an enormous time saver. I work for a university and asking staff to trawl through an entire prospectus to find their own section to edit every time makes Share for Review quite laborious.

I'm noticing that if I change my Document Settings and uncheck Facing Pages, it will let me update my review link from spreads to pages. Not ideal since my master doc has alternating treatments for left- and right-hand pages, but the client is happier to be able to print and review than try to squint to make edits with the page numbers on the correct side of the pages.
It's super annoying to ask my clients to work around this tool that I'm suggesting they use with me, but all we can do is just cross our fingers that InDesign gets some real engineering work on this tool that's so frequently brought to our attention. It's not a novel tool, but I'm guessing integrating it with the InDesign platform must be creating a lot of hurdles. When it works correctly, integrating reviews and comments with InDesign has saved me so much time, but unfortunately that's not a consistent nor a common occurence.
Come through, Adobe!

This is a direct request from engineers in my firm who need to edit long reports, especially considering we commonly follow formats set up by architects and cannot 100% control file setup.

Yes, absolutely necessary.

This is so needed for long-form documents where the client needs to only review a portion of the design. Please incorporate ASAP!

Definitely a MUST-HAVE feature!!

To make this useable on a long document where only a few pages need to be reviewed, the easy ability to select a page range or spread is critical.

Having this option is a must in order to use this feature with clients. Please add! Thanks.
