Come on Adobe, really? When I try to import a single artboard for PS file that has multiple artboards into indesign the placed file is the width and height of all artboards put together. Can't believe this isn't a feature?

Adding my voice to this feature - would love to be able to place Photoshop artboards the same way Illustrator artboards are placed in InDesign. It's been years since this has been first requested. Any way some progress can be made?

Hm, over 5 years later and this is still 'in backlog'? Sometimes I wonder if it's actually InDesign itself that is in backlog.

Please give the artboard option the same treatment as the Layer Comp option in the Import Options dialog box. It will make a huge difference in workflow.

Just came across this issue for the first time - this is insane. How can it be that for illustrator you can place and link the chosen artboard for photoshop you cannot? This is a huge oversight for apps that supposedly have near perfect synergy.

Please fix this yesterday, if not sooner.

Ideally this should be the same as placing layer comps from Photoshop into InDesign

This feature should be as straightforward as placing an Illustrator artboard. Do we need to wait years for a solution? Amazing.

By using the show import option, it just hides the other artboards but do not allow us to fit content proportionally according to one artboard, please update it

Adding my name to the list of people who find the lapse in this PS-ID functionality baffling (particularly since it works fine for AI artboards) and counter to workflow efficiency. Please fix ASAP!

This should be basic functionality for programs that are made to work together by the same company. It is unbelievable that this is still the situation, three and a half YEARS after being listed as "in backlog". Not to mention that it should have worked correctly from the start.

Yes please! One PS artboard for one page in InDesign to make a faster and seamless workflow.

Currently it's not that way. Multiple PS Artboard means 1 placed file. Even though I can do a workaround by manually duplicating the PS artboard for other page and crop it on the designated InDesign page, it feels too much hassle.

How about you unbacklog this since it's fundamental.

Please add this feature - it's two years old. Came across this post looking for the same thing. I'm really surprised to read that it isn't possible to place artboards (and its dimensions) separately!

Sooooo..... Is this happening any time soon? It's so much easier to stay within one PSD and manage 20 artboards rather then 20 different PSD for different products, buuuut... Importing and have to crop down the same psd to each product makes this feel really dum.

The whole idea of Photoshop <-> InDesign round-trip and responsive editing would really be helpful. Gone are the days of exporting a static file (e.g. psd to jpg, png, etc)

Photoshop artboards should be interpreted as different pages, same thing as when importing an Illustrator file with different artboards. The current behaviour makes no sense.

I'm constantly working with multiple artboards to test several versions of a single photo treatment. When I add and delete artboards, the impact to InDesign layouts is huge an requires a LOT of extra time. Artboards need to function like they do in Illustrator. When will this issue be fixed?
