I agree with the other users. I'm experiencing this problem and think a small option somewhere in the program would be very helpful to toggle this feature on/off. Please fix, Adobe!

When using the Apple Magic Mouse hover scrolling can be a minefield of frustration. The slightest brush of the surface of the mouse can change your chosen typeface, type size, color choice, page, zoom level and on and on. It's a huge annoyance and a waste of my time. Please make this feature an option, not a mandatory irritant. Adobe needs to stay focused on their professional users and longtime professional users, considering CC is too expensive for most amateurs to bother with. We are your bread and butter. Please stop ******* us off.

Agreed: I just tried the new Properties panel for the first time. It's very promising, but unfortunately it's unusable for me because I keep accidentally changing field values when trying to scroll within the panel.

I use InDesign on my laptop and this literally changes something every time I try to scroll through the Properties panel. On top of that, you can't even revert whatever was messed up with a single undo because it changes incrementally. So I almost always have to undo at least 10 times, and determine when it's back to how I designed it. Please make this optional.

I'm trying to acclimate to InDesign on a laptop instead of my usual desktop setup, and "hover scrolling" is beyond maddening. The unexpected changes (usually with a dozen+ undo steps to reverse) are the worst part, but it also sucks to be unable to scroll at all in a lengthy Properties menu if you happen to hovering over an input field that doesn't have a dropdown menu, such as paragraph spacing fields.

The hover scrolling may be a bad feature, but that latter behavior just seems like a bug!

Please FIX this. It's so annoying >.< I was wondering why my font randomly kept changing when I haven't even selected anything :(

Seriously, I'm tired of this wrecking my work flow. FIX THIS.

So how do we turn this off? And why does it only happen sometimes? For me, I've only ever seen it in the Font dropdown. Half the time I can control it like normal, and the other half hover scrolling randomly kicks in and suddenly I can't select the font I want because when I move my mouse down, the menu moves up. There's no rhyme or reason. And it's terrible. I never want this feature. It just ends up taking me longer to get my work done.

Nearly SIX years after this was introduced, it it still causing me to have to reprint pages and reexport PDFs. Why do we not have an option to turn this off? How hard it is to add a checkbox in Preferences?

When scrolling in properties, as soon as the cursor lands on a drop down menu the values start to change. THIS MAKES IT UNBELIEVABLY PAINFUL TO WORK.

I want to scroll the panel without changing any values accidentally. I should not have worry about placing my cursor on a few pixels wide of empty area to scroll without any issues!

If it is possible to turn of this feature please help. Otherwise this is a very annoying bug.

In short, scrolling only works without issues only on the limited area around the panels.

Important usability issue indeed. An alternative would be to have to press 'command' with scroll in order to change the panel fields, instead of just mouse scroll.

i absolutely hate this, it causes so many misses. Changing kerning values needs to be done twice, it won't take the first time, it changes to a random value and you have to do it again, hit return this time.

Final copy for approval suddenly turned italics, etc. omg. pls. some take it off. There was MagicPrefs before which turn off this behavior, but now MagicPrefs is not being supported in newer mac os.

Here's another +1 for the ability to turn off this feature. It's really too easy to ***** up my documents as others have said.

This slows down my workflow and is a constant annoyance. please fix it!

Please fix this!!!! I have to be very careful to only 2-finger scroll over the scrollbar so as to not touch any of the values and mess up my work. It really slows me down.
