InDesign 2018 USER INTERFACE STILL TOO SMALL!
Over the years I (and others) have requested that the UI of InDesign be scalable. As designers, our eyes navigate us thru the creative process.
IT IS NOT EASY to readily decipher palettes and menus which sport MICROSCOPIC TYPE on a 28-inch, high-resolution monitor.
It IMPEDES workflow if one is spending extra time trying to find and choose things on the interface.
At least give us a choice! Smaller, Medium, Large, Extra-large.
When will Adobe get this??????
Scalable UI feature is now available in the latest version of InDesign – InDesign 2022. Please get the latest version of InDesign from the Creative Cloud Desktop app. — Adobe InDesign team

I'm sure this falls on deaf ears. This feature has been complained about and requested for at least five years. but here goes
The UI scaling is TOO SMALL< WITH NO OPTION TO RESIZE IT. I've used selections always suggested, but it doesn't change a thing. I have started using my 55" TELEVISION as a monitor, just so i can make out all the tiny text and panel icons--this is something Adobe creative CC should have fixed YEARS ago. Most of us are aware of the damage caused by using regular computer monitors with no adjustment for bright light and clarity. I, myself, now have permanent vision damage, which is why i'm using TCL televisions (for watching and for monitors with my PC). this is the best i can do right now, but I BEG OF YOU, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS UI text size. it's only going to get worse for all your customers. It's just absurd that the text is so small on a professional program that many professionals use on larger screens. -

Please allow the UI to be scalable. You offer all kinds of ways to customize the layout of the workspace, but no way to fine tune the size of the tabs, fonts and buttons, which determines workspace efficacy quite a bit.

In previous versions there used to be an option that allowed users to make the UI menu font bigger (Escuala de IU in the Spanish version). If you use a big monitor the menu size creates unnecessary strain in the user's eyesight. Please make it available again.

I'm having this problem too and I'm getting sick of waiting to be fixed. I'm paying money here to use a program I can't use.

My workspace in indesign is too big. I cant access the bottom right corner to resize it.
such a nuisance. is there a quick command to fix this or do I need to restart? -

maybe a sliding scale tool to determine what size UI a user wishes to work with?

Now that Illustrator and Photoshop offer UI scaling (for tools, panels, etc.), it would be great to see this feature implemented in InDesign as well. Since the UI was changed significantly in InDesign 2015.4, many have complained that it wastes too much space (especially when on a laptop or smaller screen), while others prefer the more spacious UI. It would be great if we could have the option to scale it to our liking.

That's true for all Adobe products. They should all support UI scaling in at least 25% increments since so many monitor rezolution on som many monitor physical sizes exists. The curent possible options makes setting a functional workspace eighter very crowded or so small it's unreadable. It needs to be fixed!

I have just changed my monitor and the UI text is MICROSCOPIC again - every time! I cannot adjust the monitor as everything else and other non-Adobe software is fine. When will there be an option - Smaller, Medium, Large, Extra-large.

To be able to adjust the font size in the UI so it can work better for a range of monitor and resolutions.

Adobe you ask for a ton of money and after so many years you cannot even allign the UI design of your basic apps! While Photoshop you implement UI scalling in a good way in Indesign it sucks. Either to small either in total lack of ellegance too large...
Is it really that hard or you dont care? -

COME ON Adobe!!! The InDesign 2019 UI is still not adjustable?!?!? I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet. This is ridiculous; I have to put my nose to the monitor to read any of the settings or menus, or see the tools on my 27" iMac. I spend long hours every day (and big bucks every month!) working in serious discomfort because of this. Illustrator has fixed this issue - why not InDesign? WHY?!?!?! Does Adobe not care at all about the users of their products?

Forgot to say this in my last rant :) JUST MAKE THE SCALING THE SAME AS ILLUSTRATOR FOR ALL ADOBE APPS. Please!

I'm with you on this one! Why do photoshop and illustrator have UI scaling which can be set to the same as Windows scaling or larger yet InDesign has the option to be either 100, 150 or 200%. What if you're using 125% like I am or 250% like some laptop users are? Why the difference between apps written by the one company??

This is not just a pc problem - mac users are suffering, too. The introduction of 4k monitors is partly responsible for the increased interest in this subject. But it is valid, and resolutions are only going to increase.
My work essentially revolves around three apps: Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign. And invariably i have to use all three at once. Photoshop and Illustrator have the ability to increase the size of certain UI elements, which i use. But when you're flicking between the three apps, it can get confusing when certain items in inDesign don't pop up where you expect them to as a result of inDesign's fixed scale. And besides, with less and less manufacturers providing for the professional market thee days we are all being forced down the 4k route. So, if nothing else, for the sake of our eyes :) it would be great, and really improve speedy productivity, if you could bring inDesign into line with the other two and give us consistency. Thank you. -
