The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – version 16.1
Please update to this version to get the fix. To prevent problem on existing documents and see the footnotes again, you will have to force recompose the stories.
To force recompose stories, you can use the shortcut Command-Option-/ (slash) on Mac or Ctrl-Alt-slash on Windows-InDesign Team

i found some probably reason for this problem. I added a testfile where you can reproduce the disappearence of the footnotes. I realized that, wenn i change the left/right pages the disappearence happens.
I could help myself, when i cut out all the text and paste it again, then the footnotes appear again.
Problem appears on INDD 15.1.2 on Mac

We had the same issue. Some of the footnotes disappeared. but the most of them were still there. The counter on the foot of the page skipped this numbers. After cutting the mark in the text and pasting in a new textbox the footnote appeared again. after that we could copy and paste it in the original textbox again. the footnote was visible again. its really frustrating in law texts with tons of footnotes.
Please fix it.

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks

different Titles in the same table stick together. but i got a weird secound phenomen. these titles are set several times in the document. but sometimes int the table of content, they are sticked together threetimes.
f.ex:

1. Error
2. Error
3. Errorresult in table of content:
1. Error2. Error3. Error
1. Error2. Error3. Error
1. Error2. Error3. Error1. Error2. Error3. Error1. Error2. Error3. ErrorThanks for the answer.

I stumbled across a strange phenomenon today. I have an INDD file (file 1), which is placed as such in another INDD file (file 2). In this file 1 there is a Swiss cross, which is placed as EPS. If this placed file 1 is exported as PDFX-4, everything looks correct. However, if the file 2 with the placed file 1 is exported as PDFX-4, something strange happens. The Swiss cross disappears in the PDF or the white is set to overprint. However, this is neither stored in file 1 nor in the EPS.
I have the following
Option 1: Save CH cross as AI. Works
Option 2: Re-place link from file 1 to file 2. Fixes the error but not the cause.
Option 3: Export as PDFX-4, change the PDF standard to 1.5/1.7 or similar and then back to 1.6. Should not change anything, but now comes out correctly. -

Still is a problem in CC2017 and 2018.
Sometimes it works again after a restart of INDD, but sometimes i need to delete the saved data file in the preferences. -
