An error occurred while saving the comment Dominique Brechbühl commentedi have the same issue, in cc24 i could erase the Character Style and add it new, to avoid this behavior. could maybe be resolved by transform it as idml and reopen it on cc24.

The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2024(v19.0.1.205). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – version 16.1
Please update to this version to get the fix. To prevent problem on existing documents and see the footnotes again, you will have to force recompose the stories.
To force recompose stories, you can use the shortcut Command-Option-/ (slash) on Mac or Ctrl-Alt-slash on Windows-InDesign Team
An error occurred while saving the comment Dominique Brechbühl commentedi found some probably reason for this problem. I added a testfile where you can reproduce the disappearence of the footnotes. I realized that, wenn i change the left/right pages the disappearence happens.
I could help myself, when i cut out all the text and paste it again, then the footnotes appear again.
Problem appears on INDD 15.1.2 on Mac

Dominique Brechbühl supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Dominique Brechbühl commentedWe had the same issue. Some of the footnotes disappeared. but the most of them were still there. The counter on the foot of the page skipped this numbers. After cutting the mark in the text and pasting in a new textbox the footnote appeared again. after that we could copy and paste it in the original textbox again. the footnote was visible again. its really frustrating in law texts with tons of footnotes.
Please fix it.

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks

Enhance your workflow by adjusting text case quickly from the Text or GREP tabs of the Find/Change panel. The feature is now available in the latest InDesign 2024(v19.5.0.084)
