An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Jenks commentedYes, this would be handy.
I currently achieve this with scripting in Acrobat, but having it in Indesign would be nice.
The less time we have to spend working on the form in Acrobat the better!

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Jenks commentedThis already exists as a button in the control strip at the top. Just to the right of the alignment icons themselves.
It will appear whenever you have an object selected.
You have the option of:
Align to Selection
Align to Key Object
Align to Margins
Align to Page
Align to SpreadI have keyboard shortcuts set-up for most the alignment options. I have them tied to the numeric keyboard keys so it is easy to learn and remember which is which!

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Jenks commentedNice idea - we also often have to export a PDF with crops for printing and a web-suitable one for the client's website at the end of a project.
This would be really handy!

The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

Steve Jenks supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Jenks commentedThis has been irritating us for years - it's not a new problem with CC2017. However, it seems to be fixed with CC2019 for us. We have been using it for a couple of weeks without it happening.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Jenks commentedHow about being able to define the total width and height of a table when creating it.
That would be really useful, rather than eyeballing it.
A snap to text box/column width would also be appreciated.

We have recently started development work on Convert PDF to INDD. Going forward, we will keep adding more functionality and refining it.
The feature is available as a Beta feature in InDesign 19.5 Beta version, available via the CCD app.
Note: For now, it is available only when InDesign's install language is English (North America or International).
Please provide us feedback on this Beta feature. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

This should definitely be a text frame option, not a paragraph style option – for that we now have paragraph borders.
