You can add the object having the gradient swatch to the CC Libraries as a ‘Graphic’ in Illustrator. Then you can choose Place Linked/Place Copy in CC Libraries to use that object in InDesign. At this time, it is yet not possible to add Gradient/Pattern swatches to CC Libraries in Illustrator, so you have to add the object to the CCLib and then place that object in other apps like InDesign.

Needs to happen. For an app that is based around everything being a linked file, trying to relink multiple links in it is slow and clunky at best. But then that's Indesign for you. Terrible.

The issue reported is at Apple’s end.
Hence, Apple is recommending to update macOS to 10.15.x version in order to resolve this issue.Please update your macOS to Catalina. If you still face this issue in macOS 10.15 do add your comment in this thread.

We've just released InDesign 17.2.1 version which fixes this issue.
Please update to this latest version using CCD.

June 2022 and this STILL hasn't been implemented. Why are we paying a monthly fee for this garbage?
