An error occurred while saving the comment Micah Beard commentedI have always thought the same thing. I don't know why they wouldn't have already made this change. I hope they make colors more accessible. It would save me so much time. They should make it so you just double click to edit a swatch on the gradient, and they need to add in opacity to the gradients.

There is an option in the Layers panel flyout menu called “Ungroup Remembers Layers”. This is ON by default. That’s why when you ungroup, the objects go back to the layers to which they belonged prior to the grouping. You can uncheck this option if you want to have the objects get ungrouped on the same layer as the group.

An error occurred while saving the comment Micah Beard commentedThis is such a basic and obvious need. I can't believe we all pay so much for Adobe products to not have the basics covered, it's sad.

An error occurred while saving the comment Micah Beard commentedThe gradient panel is ARCHAIC and USELESS. I'm sorry but it's a disgrace to Adobe's name and I am embarrassed for them that their gradient panel is so pitiful.

In Preferences dialog > Advanced Type, there is an option at the bottom called 'Show Adornment...'
Uncheck this option to stop showing "O" on selected Text Frame.
Hope you'll find it useful.

This would save me so much time and headache. In addition to font size, there should also be a way to individually change single attributes of the text by a percentage when there are multiple values selected, such as line spacing and text size.
