Hello All,
We have fixed a number of crashes with InDesign’s latest Nov’18 update.

Rainer, no »normal« user will find out the »no language« hack – I totally agree with that! It's clearly a workaround (although logical: no language > no hyphenation algorithm). But works well and can be used in a character style.
As I stated in another post here, there are some more things at paragraph level that should be available on character level: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/31111393-add-word-and-character-spacing-justification-opt – but only one further person seems to think this is useful ... :o/

Rainer, I don't know, if I understand your request right, but InDesign offers two ways of suppressing hyphenation:
1.
In the paragraph options for the whole paragraph.
2.
Make a character style and choose »[No Language]« (»[Keine Sprache]«) as language. Now InDesign »doesn't know« how to hyphenate, because the text has no language attribute.

The ability to find colors in documents in now available in InDesign’s latest release 16.0.
It can be found in a new tab of Find/Change dialog – Color.

Hi All,
This indeed a great suggestion. I wanted to understand a little more about this request.
1. The way this request is described its majorly about figuring out how to change the various text attributes in a single step rather than having to change multiple styles to make that happen. It would helpful if you can mention which all attributes you all would want to be dependent on the baseline (space before/after, size, leading any other).
2. Which kind of documents (magazines, brochures, books etc.) do you see this to be more important for you.
3. Wouldn’t a similar method (not sure if we could base it on baseline though!!) for changing the layout also help, if you could define the sizes of objects in relation to the page size. Do you think extending this feature to the layout also makes sense.

Besides that this is a brilliant idea:
This feature should take care of the text frame options baseline, too. E.g. if the baseline grid in document pref is set to 12 pt and a text frame has it's own activated baseline grid of 8 pt, »1 b« should be based on the 8 pt. If the text frame has no active baseline grid of it's own, it should user the document wide grid of 12 pt.Tobias Wantzen

To change »everything« as it could be done now is definitely not my point – to clarify this. I’m aware of that option.
Your suggestion is good in my eyes either. A more elaborated preferences pane for changing units, which allows to set the unit for many different program functions (point size, leading, padding/margins, contour width etc.; objects; etc.) would be as good.

I couldn't subscribe this. In my system configuration, InDesign runs stable.
BTW: Please stick to the topic of this forum; this is a place to make suggestions for new features.
