An error occurred while saving the comment Tobias Wantzen commentedI think, the best way to handle this, should be the "app.activeDocument.metadataPreferences.author" should accept either a string (as implemented) OR an array of author strings:
app.activeDocument.metadataPreferences.author = ["Elric Wade", "Anne Emu", "Sophie Kumpir"]The latter should result in true multiple authors in the document’s metadata.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tobias Wantzen commentedThanks for the Adobe Forum there is a solution:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-insert-authors-into-document-s-metadata-without-quotes/m-p/13422099#M507216But nonetheless there could be an easier option.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tobias Wantzen commented@jamal Thank’s for your suggestion, but as I stated in the Bug description: <FEFF> is used with XML tags, index markers, etc., so you can’t just delete them with search and replace, since this will destroy all functionality related to <FEFF>!

An error occurred while saving the comment Tobias Wantzen commentedFor a workaround please see my free Acrobat script and blog post here:
https://wantzen.com/blog/acrobat-script-formatierung-in-kommentaren-auszeichnen/Sorry for blogging only in German. But when you download the script and open it with a text editor, you can read installation and usage instructions in German and English.
Regards, Tobias
Oh, yes please!
