Can you help us understand the key problems that you face in the absence of ability to send an anchored image backwards?
What’s the current workaround that you have to follow?
What are the use cases wherein you need that the text appears specifically on top of inline anchored image?
This information will help us evaluate the functionality better.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedyes, its very much needed, as upgrading my self from the earlier version of indesign should be more useful and efficient, pls consider this request as soon as possible. would love to see in the next upcoming update.
and pls add this feature in BOOK also, like - export book to PDF Booklet. badly needed to finalize and time saver also -

History panel has been added to the latest version 19.5 of InDesign 2024. Please update your copy of InDesign from CCD app to this latest version to start using this new feature.

We have added this feature in our backlog for future release

I also agree with stephen, as anchored objects cannot be wraped, its a major problem when I work on a large book document, with lots and lots of photographs inserted in it.
