InDesign 2021 goes into non-responding state when trying to close the application
Version of Adobe InDesign: 16.0
Steps to reproduce the issues: Unable to quit normally since 16.0 install
Expected result: Quit normally
Actual result: App hangs
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – version 16.0.1.
Please update to this version to get the fix.

This isn't fixed. InDesign 2023 goes into 100% CPU usage and then hangs. I can see the palette windows but the workspace is gone and application non-responsive with a beach ball so I can't get to the files I have open. Activity Monitor has it as Not Responding.

I can confirm that in 2023 this error is still happening
For me, this happens when I open a file with cross-references
Can also thereafter happen
When I add pages
When I add an image
When I add a file to a book
In short, it's happening a lot.
I'm using 2021, version 16.3.

Ever since installing the 2021 update of InDesign, InDesign will lock up and hang when trying to close the application. This happens after closing all open files and I've returned to the Home screen. Task Manager reports as the application "not responding".
