Pages palette bug
Hello,
You will find a file in the attachment, please open it. Now open the page palette. Now try moving the pages in the correct order of the numbers by moving the thumbnails. You will not succeed!
I reported this bug over a year ago and it still isn't fixed! (Indesign version 15.5.5)Edit: Unfortunately I cannot attach an Indesign file. Please provide me with an email address so that I can send you the file.

BUG - 15.1.1 - Mac/PC - text threads don't display
On both Mac and PC, the 15.1.1 version doesn't display text frame threads.
When I create a new doc, threaded text frames DO show the threads. But when I open pre-existing documents, threads don't show at all. I've confirmed this behavior with a few other people, on both OS platforms. I'm running on Win10/64, [Version 10.0.18363.836]. The Mac users were on very recent OS's.

Animation issue on page load
Hi,
The issue is in the attached document.
This problem is there for the CC 2018-2019 & 2020 Versions.
Not sure why its taking years to fix this. Hope it will be addressed soon.Best Regards

Native support for table formulas in InDesign
I have found countless workarounds for scripts that support formulas in InDesign, but how is this not a native tool?

PDF export preferences: document-based, not application-based
So I'm working on 3 Indd documents. On one of them, I need a PDF of page 4 only. The preferences are reset for all 3 documents to output only page 4. Why should I have to remember to reset the output for ALL 3 to All Pages? Shouldn't this be a document-based preference, not an application-based one?

Fonts Not Loading
Font loading is sporadic in InDesign 15.1.1 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5
Fonts that were working just fine yesterday suddenly won't load. I've cleared caches to no avail.
This affects InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop... however, Photoshop seems to be hit or miss... sometimes they load, sometimes they don't.

thumbnail size
I'd like to be able to adjust the size of the graphic thumbnails in the CC Library panel, similarly to the ability to adjusting the thumbnail size in the Gallery view of Lightroom.
I am drawing from about a hundred images to build out a deck. Many photos are shot in similar locations and are subtly nuanced. On my 13" Macbook, I can't really distinguish them. There's plenty of room for a single line of larger images, but currently no ability to change their size. This makes ID largely useless for building out this deck unless I'm on my 27"…

Settings for Dictionary gets reset again all the time.
I am using "Deutsch Rechtschreibereform 2006" and it gets reset to "Deutsch Rechtschreibeversion 1996". Also the ""-Setting below will be changed.1 vote -
ID2020 Running variable falls back to previous header randomly
Current version 15.1
Did not have this issue with previous version, produced 2 reports within a month one before the update and one after. The first one went out fine, the second one have the following glitch:- All pages have ONE master page footer including ONE variable connected to a header style - simple and standard, never caused an issue since the beginning of the function's history .
What happens in the spread:
Page 1 contains Header 1 and footer refers to H1
Page 2 contains Header 2 and footer refers to H2

Latest Indesign update changes text flow.
InDesign 15.1.1.1 introduces a new error. Text flow in a long document with justified text changes. I am using Mac Mojave 10.14.6. When I reinstalled 15.1 this problem went away.

Cannot remove hyperlink from image
For some reason InDesign has no option to remove hyperlink from an image. It took me hours to search for solution until I gave up and deleted the image and recreated it with a new hyperlink. This is pathetic and needs to change. When you right click an image, we should see "Hyperlink" > "Remove Link". This is so basic, its really upsetting to have to post this here.

Jumping to wrong tabs
Hi, when I try to click on the File menu, it keeps jumping to Window instead. That goes for any menu item I try to open. I'm using the 2018 version of InDesign on Windows.

Click, click-drag combinations no longer work as they did previously.
Upon upgrading to 15.1.1, on Mac OS 10.14.16 Mojave
-Triple-clicking won't select a whole line, and, yes, I selected "triple-click to select whole line" in preferences.
Double-clicking does won't switch from the object tool to the text tool.
Double-click and drag won't extend the selection.
I didn't find anything in the Mac OS, Wacom, or InDesign prefs that referenced click or click-drag options. Adjusting double-click speed doesn't change this bug.
If these features were disabled to take advantage of the swipe features of Apple mouse and tablet gestures, please add a preference option to use a standard mouse.

Master Items misssing when used based on page
Using Windows 7 or Mac OS no matter even it's in preview Indesign CC.
I found this and very annoying to fix it manually in master page items.
Steps Created Master Page A for body text pages
Created master Page B: As a chapter opener. It's based on Master A. Only removed top running header.Now applied in pages:
Left side page : Master Page A.
Right side page chapter opener and applied Master Page BResult: Part of Running Header is disappear in Left Side Page, right side page ok as is.
Am I missing something. Getting this kind…

Deleting Preference files
I crashed when I boot up and the message says I need to delete the Preferences files but Alt-Ctl-Shift doesn't show the expected Preferences file message upon startup. Is there another way to delete Preference files?

Character Style is cleared from copied Hyperlink

InDesign 15.1 x64When copying text, the Character Style of Hyperlink text is not copied.
Attached is a video showing the problem:
ITC Officina OTF [book, bold] are used.
A Paragraph Style is applied to all text.
A Character Style is applied to the "portfolio" and "imdb.com"
"imdb.com" is an active Hyperlink, as per the Hyperlinks panel
Once copied, the Character Style is removed from "imdb.com".Bug happens if the Text Frame is copied, and/or if text is copied and pasted into new text box.
Bug happens in multiple INDD files.

Ungespeicherte Dokumente verloren
Weil Adobe der Ansicht war, es müsse mal kurz Indesign neustarten und die Zugangsdaten überprüfen, habe ich gerade zwei ungespeicherte Dokumente verloren! Die Arbeit von acht Stunden!
Es wurde zwar abgefragt, ob ich speichern will oder nicht, aber diese Frage kam so überraschend, dass ich gar nicht so schnell realisieren konnte, was da eigentlich los ist. Ich habe versucht, den Vorgang mit Esc abzubrechen. Daraufhin wurde Indesign ohne Speichern der geöffneten Dokumente trotzdem geschlossen.
Hören Sie gefälligst auf, Ihre dämlichen Spielchen auf fremden Computern zu spielen! Sie können nicht einfach ohne Vorwarnung und Begründung ein Programm schließen, mit dem gerade…1 voteClosed: Not Reproducible ·

To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.

Darstellungsfehler in der neuen Review-Funktion
Problem: Platzierung einer (sehr einfachen) nativen Illustrator-Grafik mit einigen Deckkraftmasken funktioniert in InDesign prima, aber in der Review-Darstellung sind plötzlich Elemente halbtransparent zu sehen, die ganz bzw. gar nicht dort sein dürften. Offenbar ist diese Voransicht deutlich weniger präzise als ein erzeugtes PDF ... ?!?
