    Can you realise that the Suitcase Fushion 8 plugin works properly in InDesign 2018. Now it's nt working!

    Hi,
    Can you please uninstall InDesign and then reinstall it with the settings in Creative Cloud same as mine.. I have shown these settings in settings.png attached.

    Let us know what happens then

  3. "Go to endnote reference" (or "text") feature not found in 2018

    "Go to endnote reference," or "text," not present in right click popup window on my version of InDesign 2018, nor is it present under Type Menu. But then this could only be in my application.

  4. Activated font could't use in some InDesign-Documents (and in this special documents never again)

    Until an update of Indesign CC2017 up the actually CC2018 version I have sometimes problems with using activated fonts in individual documents.

    In these special documents it happens that suddendly Indesign say the font you used before its missing even if it is activated.

    It's in the list of fonts, you can choose it, but in this Document you could never use it in anytime again.

    The only solution is, to build up a new document and copy all pages or elements in it. This is a realy worse thing to do, especially if you have Dokuments with 150 pages,…

  6. Import XLS with coupled cells

    InDesign cannot import a XLS with "coupled" cells (Sorry - I don`t know what it is named in the english software).

    If e.g. "B2" and "B3" are coupled in the XLS, the content will appear in InDesign only in "B2", "B3" is emty and the cells are not coupled. The same is up in cells over lines.

    The Bug is not new. Is it really hard to repair?

  7. Text engine buffer breaks if text contains diacritics

    I regularily edit pages with fairly long text in Icelandic, a language which uses diacritics quite a bit. If the text gets to be more than a few hundred words, the text engine buffer starts acting up, especially when using accents. It will enter two or more accents in addition to the intended accented letter, sometimes mangling the order of letters too, always being laggy too. This is NOT a new problem, but I feel it has become much more pronounced in CC 2018.

  8. changing subset fonts in the Control Bar

    On occasion, when changing the subset font (or font variant) via the upper Control Bar, the change doesn't register on the document. The character palette also doesn't register the change (they should match).

    Hi,
    Do you want this limit to be increased for some reason?
    Currently this limit is defined to be a value between 0p3 and 50p0

  10. Can't quickly index individual words

    Hi,

    After a discussion in the help forum we came to the conclusion that my problem could be an issue.

  11. [InCopy] Sequence of stories is jumbled in Galley or Story View but not in Layout View

    We use InCopy for book production. When we send out an Indesign/InCopy Package to our editors, sometime the sequence of the stories seems to be random. It's all fine in Layout View. This makes reading and edition in Story or Galley View very hard.

  14. Incorrect kerning on justified text

    InDesign v. 12.2.0.56

    I'm working in a book file, and this problem seems to occur at random. The kerning in the first word of a line of justified type is incorrect visually, but when you check it with the cursor, it is the correct number. If you change it, it jumps and appears to be correct again, visually, but if you save, close, and reopen the file, it is incorrect again.

    It is problematic because when a PDF is exported, the incorrect kerning is what gets exported.

    The problem has occurred in two different books I have worked on with…

    Please review the attachment.

  17. nonprinting text boxes disappear in normal view. Create a text box and type text into it. Select Window/Output/Attributes, and tick the box.

    InDesign 18.2.1, Mac Mini Apple M2 Pro, Ventura 13.3.1 (a). Create a text box in Normal View and type text into it. Select the box, then Window/Output/Attributes, and tick Nonprinting. The text box on the page becomes invisible, although you can still select it if you know where it is. What should happen is that the box and text remain visibile but do not print. This makes the nonprinting feature useless. This was OK in my last version of InDesign, CS6 on a PC.

  18. Find and replace tab stuck a the top

    The tab is stuck at the top, I cannot move, close it. When restarting indesign, it does the same thing.

  19. footnotes bug

    How do I get footnote #1 in my screenshot to show up with footnotes #2 and #3 at the bottom of the page. For the life of me, I cannot find a setting that makes this possible. Thank you in advance.
