Non consistent display of PMS colors across applications
InDesign 15.0 / Illustrator 24.0
Uncoated FOGRA29 (ISO12647-2:2004)
PMS 3262UObject on the right is an imported Illustrator EPS with PMS 3262U and Uncoated FOGRA29 (ISO12647-2:2004) profile.
InDesign document also has the Uncoated FOGRA29 (ISO12647-2:2004) profile, object is placed above the illustration: same PMS color but display of completely different color.

column line
You cant make the column lines shorter in the top of a textframe when you have a preamble text in the frame. How ever, you can make the column lines shorter in the bottom of the frame. And you can make them longer in any direction. The function is there for making them shorter in the top but it¨s out of order.

InDesign 15.0 Smart Guides problem on converted files
After the 15.0 update InDesign does not show Smart Guides on files that are saved with the older version of InDesign. New blank documents show Smart Guides as they should but if I open (convert) old file to 15.0 Smart Guides stop working. So when I drag elements they don't snap to each other or center to the page for example.
I'm working on Windows 10.

Wrong translation of “rule” in Czech version of InDesign 2020
Please stop using Google Translate to translate Adobe UI to Czech language.
The new feature Column Rules is translated into Czech language as Regulations for Columns! (Pravidla pro sloupce) This is totally wrong! It should read “Linky mezi sloupci” (lines in between columns). Also the word “linie” is wrong, it is not used by designers. You should use “linka” as it is already in use in other UI dialogs in InDesign.
1 voteFix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign 2020 – that is, InDesign 15.0.1
In the Creative Cloud Desktop application, click on the Updates section on the left. You should be able to see the Update available for InDesign. Please update your InDesign application to this version to try out the fix.
Let us know in the comments section if you face any problem with the updation process.

When converting files to a new version, some converted files have "copy" added to the name.
Opening a book from a previous version, with automatic doc conversion selected, causes some files to be overwritten when saved with "copy" added to the name. This nuance has caused a cascading calamity for our file management. If this function is intended, then it's execution is downright dumb. Nowhere was this pitfall mentioned when opening the files and saving them. Automatic Document conversion should be just that, automatic. Not 'automatically' mess up my naming conventions and filing system.
Shame on you Adobe.

Y axis value changes when resizing document
Recently, we updated Indesign CC 2015 to CC 2018. Unfortunately we discovered a little flaw. When resizing a document (for instance A4 -> A3), objects like text boxes keep their X axis value, but the Y axis value changes! Since CC 2015 is obsolete and we couldn't reinstall it, we hoped CC 2017 would work correct, but this version has this bug as well.

Excluding nummering of numbered paragraph titles in TOC does not work when a script generates TOC
Current behavior:
The TOC style specifies to exclude the nummering of numbered paragraph titles (NumberedParagraphOptions.EXCLUDE_NUMBERS).
However, when the TOC is generated by a script via a call to createToc(), the TOC includes the nummering of numbered paragraph titles.Expected behavior:
The TOC excludes the nummering of numbered paragraph titles, as specified in the TOC style. When the TOC is updated manually afterwards, the nummering disappears.
When Googling for this problem, I saw that this issue was mentioned in the old archive. See attachment. Unfortunately, that archive is not available anymore.

Content Collector Linked Images Not Updating
OS: Windows 10
InDesign Version: 14.0.3
Folder: Our folders are saved on Dropbox using desktop app
Who has the problem: My whole team at work.My team runs static banner ads in automotive. The auto brands have event logos each month. We have several vehicles in running. Each file contains one vehicle and five different ad sizes. To update the logos faster we have them linked to a single InDesign file. That way we only have to relink the logo images in the one file. On original setup the links naturally are direct links, but since we archive each month and copy them over to the new month it breaks the direct links and InDesign auto finds new local links by searching the folder the files are in. I had done this a year ago and was training everyone in on how to do it. When we got to the second month in we noticed InDesign had recognized had properly search in the local folder and even relinked without any notification to us but the problem was it wasn't actually updating the logos. The path was right in the other files leading to the main file we made the changes to for updating the logos but the logos weren't actually updating in the files. The only way to get them to show properly was to manually re-link to the one file they are all attached to. This didn't occur every single time but it did occur most of the time.
Note: The logos are in all kinds of formats but we never change the container box size in InDesign.

Embedding links won’t work, if you do not inbed each links manually
If you choose multiple pictures in your links-panel and click “embedding all instances”, it does show the “embedded in document”-icon, but this is a false information. It only works, if you embed every image individually after selecting one by one image.

Kein Crashreport möglich - der Dialog erscheint nicht (auch nach REG Datei nicht).1 voteTo identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.
If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

indesign created white pages when I imported a Word text. There's 1311 endnotes....
I already start and stylize them... I remarked after the summary a page named endnote text. I never asked this. If if drop off this page, all the link will don't work. My question is how to delete this page without delete the link of the endnote text?

Missing part of pdf in indesign
When I place a pdf in InDesign parts of the pdf is missing. I checked the Show Import Options box and selected all the different settings next to Crop to: under the Options section. None of them worked. I also tried the two different settings under the Layers tab and those didn't work either.

empty pdf

freeze
- ID version 14.0.3.
- I launch ID.
- Buttons should normally be clickable
- However, ID freezes after appr. 1 second and nothing is remotely clickable. Only way to close the program is by shutting it down via taks manager
