1. Publish Online Broken Objects

   Publish Online Suddenly not displaying images correctly since 6th November 2023

   Hi there,
   Yesterday I tried to update an InDesign document which I'd published online.
   I had to add some stuff to the document which I then published online with the changes (new publish, not over written) and it seemed to break some of the embedded images. I thought it must be the changes however I did test the back up I had which was an identical document and when publishing it online again some of the images or all of them are broken. Without making any changes in InDesign, Each time I publish online a different thing is broken or restored. (sometimes its 1 image thats broken, sometimes its all of them).

   I decided to move the files to another computer which has a different version of indesign and it produced the same problem. This was on Catalina on InDesign 18.1.2 and also on ventura on InDesign 19 has the same problem.

   Note with this one I overwrote the file a few times to check if it was working again, without changing the document. Each time different images were broken.

   Also note here one of the big broken link boxes is actually a text box, not an image. So its not a linked object exlusive problem I don't think.

3. Publish Online thicker navigation arrows - option to turn OFF

   The hard coded previous/next page arrows are noticeably thicker and can spoil some designs and therefore the user experience. Can we have an option to turn them OFF.

   Ajar In5 already has this. Seems like a simple enough option?

5. Swipe Gestures not working

   'Swipe Gestures to navigate within pages' used to work earlier in both mobile phones and laptops.
   But recently when I tried, Swipe Gestures are not working at all.
   Adobe clearly mentions that publish online supports smooth gesture controls : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/using/publish-online.html

   Please fix this ASAP.

7. Multi-state objects not working correctly

   I'm having problems with multi state object not working as they should.
   Sometimes its fine others not.
   I've attached a video of the problem.

   It happens when you use buttons to change the state. It works for a while and gradually deteriorates. The state can show then you roll off the button and it reverts. As if a r'roll-off' state is in play. Eventually the multi-state target disappears altogether.

   Its happening in different documents and in Indesign 2020 and 2021.

   Colleagues don't seem to have problem so could need to reinstall. But wondered if you could shed any light on it.

   I've checked everything a hundred times. Nothing set up wrong.

8. Can't change the names of Object States

   In InDesign 16.1, the entry box for changing the names of Object States flashes open and closed in a fraction of a second—too fast for entering a new name. This was not a problem in previous versions of InDesign.

9. Export to ePub / html removes single characters from class names randomly

   On export to ePub and / or html (on Windows 10 64-bit), single characters are removed from class names. This appears to happen randomly (as shown below), but consistently (the same tags will have the same errors after closing and opening the document, after quitting and restarting InDesign, after restarting the computer, and whether exported as ePub or html).

   – span class="Colour" becomes span class="Colo r" (set on character style)
   – h4 class="Event-Month" becomes h4 class="E ent-Month" (though h4 class="Event-Date" is OK) (both set on paragraph style)
   – span class="Link" becomes span class="Lin" (set on character style)

   These same errors are not restricted to one document; they also occur to another document with the same style sheets.

   Changing these names revealed that this issue is related to a specific character in the class name, rather than the number of characters, as follows:

   – changing to span class="Clr" outputs span class="Clr"
   – changing to h4 class="Evnt-Month" outputs h4 class="E nt-Month" (h4 class="Event-Date" remains OK)
   – changing to span class="Lnk" outputs span class="Ln"

   This means that, for some reason, random characters in specific class names are being removed or replaced with spaces.

   Timing: I've updated my Windows 10 Pro to version 20H2, build 19042.630, but I've looked at a backup file created before that update and the issue was still present - therefore it's not related to the recent Windows feature update. The issue was not present last month, when I exported a document with the same settings, using InDesign v15.1.3 x64 - so it's happened after that. Therefore, this issue must be caused by a bug in the 2021 version of InDesign (v16.0 x64). I have confirmed this by exporting the same document as last month in v16, and the same error is present in that exported file.

   On export to ePub and / or html (on Windows 10 64-bit), single characters are removed from class names. 10. Problème d'affichage des outils de révision dans In Design

    Bonjour, j'ai testé l'outil révision dans In Design avec mes collègues, mais j'ai un problème lorsque je clique sur "Aller à l'examen" pour voir les modifs en ligne, mon ordinateur (PC récent intel Core i9) ouvre par défaut le navigateur Microsoft Edge, et je ne visualise que les 2 premiers outils de révision (la pipette et l'épingle), je ne vois pas les textes surlignés, barrés ou entourés. Sur les nouveaux PC, on ne peut pas changer le navigateur par défaut. Pour visualiser les modifs, il faut que j'ouvre Firefox, que je copie le lien sécurisé produit par le logiciel In Design et que je me réidentifie sur ma suite Adobe. Comment faire remonter l'information à Adobe pour signaler ce bug d'affichage ?
    Ou y a-t-il un moyen d'afficher dans In Design les corrections (surlignage/texte barré/épingle) sans être obligé de cliquer sur chaque commentaire.

11. EPUB Export

    Please make EPUB3 the default when opening the EPUB export dialog box. It has been the standard for years now, and letting people export as EPUB 2.01 will only create EPUBs that don't meet the modern standard. I was disappointed to see in CC2021 that the default is still the EPUB version that is several years out of date.

12. Develop Publish Online for more than one "owner"

    We use your Publish Online function for our white papers, published online on our web. We love a lot about the function BUT there is some important functions we struggle with:

    • Only the owner of the PDF can edit in the published version. We have a team of designers and become dependent on one of them.
    • The PDF is not responsive to other devices
    • Statistics can only be viewed/monitored by the owner, often the designer not the functions that necessary needs this insights.

    Would love if you can develop these functions futher so we can stay Adobe-based!

13. Page Transition - Interactivity Preview

    On Indesign CC, I applied simple page transition on 2 pages. However, the transition is not previewing in the EPUB Interactivity Preview. When you go to the next page, it no page transition applies.

    So I tried doing it on Indesign CS6, and it shows the page transition.

    Can anybody help me with this?

14. epub 3 footnote hyperlink character style html is broken (InDesign CC 2020 v15.0)

    epub 3 footnote hyperlink character style html is broken. When exporting to an epub 3 with footnotes that contain hyperlinks, the html output is acting strange. See the below for an example as it applies a separate span character style to each word or string.

15. Publish online feature not working after deactivating renewal of creative cloud plan

    After I deactivated the renewal of my annual plan (long before the date of renewal), I experienced an issue. When I try to publish from InDesign, it says "error #315: this service is unavailable...". On the My Plans section of the website it says I should still have access to this service until my plan expires. I contacted customer support and they basically told me they can't do anything. I assume this is a bug as the website says I do have access to it, but the app wont let me use it.

17. Can't edit bookmarks

    Ver. 14.0.1 - The interactive Bookmarks window doe not allow me to edit an existing bookmark. When I delete the bookmark in InDesign and then create a PDF it continues to exist in the PDF. Why am I unable to edit the bookmark?

18. The button malfunction in Indesign CC

    The button sometimes function in Epub and sometimes it does not work.

    If I restart the software, it works. There is a bug.

    I want to do an autoplay slideshow with the overlays panel, but the panel overlaps itself, so it's not possible to click anywhere.

20. Publish Online Dashboard is Down

    I can't access any of the documents I've published online as an ePub. indd.adobe.com isn't working; the error code says it can't be accessed with HTTP error 503. Please can someone address this?
