I am having the same issue, and now InDesign has disappeared text and images on multiple pages. In addition to the history disappearing, this is making my job extremely difficult.

Same! So frustrating! It comes back if I toggle between Normal and Preview views.

I'm getting this in InDesign 21.1 x64 on Windows 11 Home too. Whole text frames of text appear empty when they are actually filled. It's not an overflow or an overlap issue - scrolling to another page and then returning usually makes the text reappear. Also the letter spacing sometimes appears wrong even though it's actually correct.

This never happened on the previous version of InDesign. I am using a windows unit.

I am experiencing the disappearing text issues again - I havent seen much about them since 2017 - but as I am editing text entire paragraphs are disappearing - sometimes entire pages. It's a huge problem. I even moved my files to the cloud and opened them on two different devices (an additional laptop and my home desktop) to see if it was my computer failing; across the board, I saw the same text-disappearing issues. As this is the main program I use for creating my publications, I am very worried about it. Please see the photos below for context.

This has been happening to me, too. While also intermittent, it seems to most happen when I insert a cursor to make a paragraph change or select copy to delete. When the latter, the copy prior to what I selected just disappears. All the disappeared copy does come back when I "undo" it. But it is annoying and time-consuing to have to keep doing that.

This is happening with me as well and I have had colleagues at my office mention it.

I'm on a PC and am running InDesign v 21.1 - updated 9 days ago.

Annoying situation but not as annoying as the undo bug.

When will the fix be done? It is very, very frustrating to keep having to scroll up and down for the text to appear. Also happens when I highlight the text, it goes blank and then I have to scroll up or down or click out of the box.

This issue is back with a vengeance.

On Indesign 2026 and for 2 or 3 weeks, each time I select part of the text to emend it, this part of the text disappears (in black: see picture attached) and other parts as well (in white) and only reappears when I change something in the rest of the text (not anywhere nevertheless: I have to test different places). Buongiorno, anche noi abbiamo lo stesso problema il testo scompare mentre digitiamo, riappare digitando sulla barra di spaziatura. E' molto fastidioso.

I think appeared after last update... Affects documents I had no problem with before. All text on the page disappears after editing or selecting it (a bit randomly, but frequently), sometimes after pressing Ctrl-S to save file or just clicking somewhere to move cursor... only blank page is displayed - text is not actually removed, after using W twice to change view or changing scale the text is displayed again. Very annoying.

Та сама проблема. Проблема з'явилась приблизно місяць тому. Періодично зникає текст під час редагування. Доводиться постійно змінювати масштаб, аби виявити його. Вчора, 22.12.2025, оновив програму. Проблема не зникла.
Працюю на ноутбуці у Windows.

Wonderfull, this is happening to me now with the newest 2026 update!
I have to scoll up so the page dissapears, then down again. Or move the text box une click . It's happening really often, like 3 or 4 times an hour, maybe more.

The issue is happening with my version 21.02 I have tried changing performance metrics on my laptop and display settings and nothing helps it. Its very frustrating when editing.

Often when I select text, it disappears, only to become visible again after zooming or changing the viewing mode.
I haven't found a way to reproduce the problem, it seems to be random.
